And there's still vestiges of the Tiny Kitten Teeth betrayal there.
Explain this, please.
I think as first pages go, this one is particularly excellent.
The text at the bottom is too similar to the style of Tiny Kitten Teeth for me.
I think it fits the series. At least it's not papyrus.
Besides, there were people who really liked the TKT version, and it would be stupid to leave them all behind, and possibly a slap in the face of the TKT author(s).
I don't know the PA guys personally, but from what little I've seen hey are pretty stand-up guys. I don't think they'll mess this up, even if they keep some of the good pieces from the previous work.
At least they have a good sense of comic flow - we shouldn't be left staring at panels trying to figure out in what order the action and talking goes. Aside from the art and color style, the nebulous comic flow was the worst part of the previous attempt.
We shall see soon enough, though - two whole weeks of this ought to either solidify it as a fan favorite, or at least ruin it well enough that they won't attempt it again. The worst possible outcome would be if it was just lukewarm - neither great nor horrible. That would make me a sad panda. If you're going to fail, do so spectacularly - at least that's a little entertaining.
