Having checked Calleja's rep history, the only negative comment he's received over the past few days was signed by the commenter, and was really more of a difference of opinions than a troll.

The rep system has been a lot more positive than negative so far, and like I said, if we can't take a little negative with the positive, then we shouldn't have a forum or an internet at all.

You guys are getting too worked up. People can sign their comments if they want to, or NOT. If anyone feels a comment is hurtful, they can ask a Mod to take a look at it.

@Gusto - I can understand that in a way. I would find it hard to swallow if someone whose opinions I respect gave me negative feedback on something I posted. You're not going to see me wringing my hands and stressing out over an anonymous comment though. If someone I don't know stops me on the street to tell me that I'm a jerk, it's not going to mean much. If one of my friends says it, then it would bug me.

I don't know if you're talking about my comment. If so, it really was a blanket statement. People in general take this stuff too seriously.

I haven't gotten any neg rep yet, but depending on the context I might be bothered or amused. Neg rep in itself doesn't bug me, but if it seems to be serious I might take quick notice. I realize that you can't be all things to all people, but I try to remain civil and open in my day-to-day, even on the internet.

So if I say something and people react badly to it, whether by PM, a response, or now a passive-aggressive neg-rep, I re-read my post and then one of two things happen:
- I either kick myself over poor wording/lack of tact/my own general ignorance
- Or I roll my eyes at silly internet people who take things out of context/fail to understand that I'm trying to be the devil's advocate/decide to disrespect my opinion/refuse to talk it out with me in lieu of calling me a [social sub-group]-ist and rushing off to their community circlejerk.

I did. I was so badly negatively repped out there I came back.]

I like leaving mean comments with positive rep, and awesome comments with negative rep. Chaz taught me that. Also, chaz taught me that you can write little messages to people who have you on their ignore list, and they'll still see it. Which is good, because I like knowing people are still paying me enough attention to call me an idiot. I'm like gusto, I crave acceptance. Unlike Gusto, I'll be happy with just attention. Even negative attention. Because it means you're thinking about me. etc.
