Took me this long to find this thread? :p

Being in the D.C. area, and growing up in NY, I can tell you that it is, in fact, a heat wave. We hit 102F/39C at DCA/Reagan Airport yesterday, which is 14F above the normal 88F high temperature. Thankfully, dewpoints were somewhat low (mid/upper 60s) at the time, so it wasn't that insane outside.

Other notables from yesterday:
BWI (Baltimore): 101 (normal 88)
NYC (Central Park): 100 (normal 85)
PHL (Philly): 103 (normal 86)

We're talking +12 to +17 degrees above normal along a major portion of the East Coast. In the middle of summer. We saw similar numbers yesterday and Monday. It's a heat wave.

With this absolutely life-draining humidity it is currently 108 degress outside.

And I love it!

I do not like heat. It is 25 degrees, and it is too hot for me here, but I will persevere. Or was it 'perspire?' Maybe I'll just do both.

It's been rainy here for weeks. Now that it's sunny, all that's left is the gross humidity. At least it's sunny. :) I missed the light.

Is it this hot?

(Yes. Any excuse to post Godzilla pictures is the highlight of my day.)
