Playstyle looks a lot like Wolverine's to me.

Longer dashes, but seem similar to Drill Claw/Berzerker Barrage otherwise
First Super looks unique (the disappearing one)
Dash super looks like Wolverine's Super BB
Uppercut super looks like Wolverine's Weapon X attack

She might be faster/longer range here and there but this kinda feels like the Wolverine/bone claw Wolverine thing in MvC2.

I could see them leaving out Mega Man, but I can't imagine Spidey gets the ax as he's been as much of a staple of the Marvel fighters as any other character. I do wish Cyclops would make a return, though. D:

I'm pretty confident Mega Man will be in there. He's a fan favorite and a Capcom staple. Not to mention I can't imagine them including Tron Bonne and not having any sort of Mega Man in there. Roll and Servbot probably got cut.

Lots of good picks so far, including some nice new faces on each side. I'm betting they each have at least one more character to reveal during the TGS, so any guesses on who they'll be? I'm guessing Megaman and a female from Marvel... probably ether Emma Frost, Psylocke or Storm. Nico Minoru or Molly Hayes if we're REALLY lucky.

Man, am I so glad that Wesker is his own character, and not a costume swap for Chris. I've never really gotten into Marvel Vs. Capcom before, but the character selection looks great, I think I'll be getting this when it comes out. :)

Oh hell yes. Nice to see Spidey here at last and Wesker as a separate character. It wouldn't make sense to have a virus enhanced superpowered badass and have him only resort to weapons for his attacks (like Chris).

This just keeps getting better. Guess X-23 is the exception.

- MODOK (From... I have not fucking idea. I know he's a Marvel though.)

Also, according to some images of the booth for MvC3, it looks like the next 4 are going to be Classic Megaman, Jill Valentine, M. Bison, and Zangief.

Arthur looks like a fun character, seeing him use all the old weapons and hearing that music made me happy.

Spencer looks like he's going to be a pain in the ass to fight. :|

Spencer looks fun to play but I'm kind of disappointed that they went with the 2009 version. To me it's like having Bomberman in your fighting game and going with the Act Zero version by default. It's not even a question of "They had the 3D model handy" since there IS a classic Spencer unlockable skin in said 2009 game. Hope they include it as an alternate costume. But even so, we wouldn't get the cheesy lines from the original and Reloaded. Wouldn't it be awesome if he faced Spider Man and went "Get out of here, you nerd!"

The taunt exchange with Iron Man was awesome, though.

...as much as I hate sounding like a nitpicking fanboy, they are starting to drop the ball. Magneto sounds a tad weird and M.O.D.O.K. looks either hard to control, broken as hell (invincible barriers and floating mines) or both.

Still a couple of characters left. I remember seeing a leaked Marvel.com page showing Magneto, Apocalypse and Onslaught so there are at least a few more characters to go. Better have friggin Megaman.

Images from the sides of the MvC3 booth seem to indicate that he'll be joining up soon. I'm kinda pissed it's STILL classic Megaman. I hope we get some alternate costume versions, so we can have X or Megaman Volnutt.

In regards to that latest video...first there was that one with Thor wearing some weird pink armor now we have Tanned Disco Wesker? Who the hell designed these alternate outfits?

OK, I hate to fuel the speculation fire, but while going through the comments on Kotaku, I stumbled upon this "leaked production photo" of the full roster that looks a little too elaborate to be fake:



...Howard the Duck? Well, that will be...interesting to say the least. Thanos is kind of an odd choice for a regular playable character as well. The rest feels pretty standard really, despite there being some good choices there (She-Hulk, Venom and Frank West, IMHO).

This makes a total of 42 characters, 21 on each side. Not bad at all.

This isn't confirmation or anything, but look at this image from a MvC3 dev's workstation...




That is VERY clearly Mike Haggar on the computer monitor. Also, I'd LOVE to see Red Arremer as a character... but why are they calling him Red Arremer instead of Firebrand, who IS one AND the hero of his own series (Demon's Crest)? The only reason I can think of is because they don't want to raise hopes of a new Demon's Crest game.

*sigh* My dreams of an Arthur Vs Maximo Vs Firebrand game will never come true...

I didn't know She-Hulk had the power to summon speeding cars out of thin air.

It looks silly enough on the Ghosts and Goblin's lava raft. Now imagine the car showing up inside the Tyrant Lab, the SHIELD Helicarrier and friggin ASGARD :-P
