D&D Jay's Game - First Session Next Thursday
I hate DMed PCs. I'd rather Jay let us sink or swim on our merits.
I'm half a Leader; at first level I can pass temp HP to nearby allies with one attack, and I have Ardent Surge (the encounter x2 general healing a la Inspiring Word, Healing Word, etc). That'll be enough for now. Even if I went full Ardent, it wouldn't help the Wisdom situation, as it's a Charisma-based leader like Warlord and Bard.
Also, leave Julie alone. As I told Jay and thought I told others, the best chance you'll have of getting her to join is by not bringing it up. You invite her, it pushes her farther from the game. Have fun, do cool stuff like you're Falagar tavern tale, and she'll start feeling she's missing out and hopefully join in. She intends to listen, at least until her usual bedtime. So I'm asking everyone, if you want her in, don't go "Join us, Julie" or "There's room for one more". Just let it sit. That's the best chance you'll have.
And I say that as one who also wants her to play, but I know how she works. If she feels like she's being pressured to play, she may do it out of guilt, and then crumble and back out. If she's gonna play and stay playing, it's gotta be because she feels she's ready for another game.
