Budget ~$15,000.
Not enough SHAKE CAMERA. It looks like it actually uses regular cinematography so I am already optimistic.Looks a little too much like Cloverfield - which I disliked :/

It's just my opinion of that movie, nothing more. I just think the whole film could easily be summarized like this:You didn't like The Mist??? D:
Whoa dude... I'm gonna have to re-evalute our relationship... :suspicious:
Hey, I like my crazy-ass New Englander horror as much as the next guy. I just didn't get that kind of vibe from The Mist, that's all. It didn't feel like a Lovecraft movie; it felt like a bad movie adaptation about something that Stephen King wrote over a bout of diarrhea.Sorry man, as a Lovecraft fan it (both the book and movie version) was perfect for me.
(also, they make it ridiculously clear where the mist and monsters came from in the movie, compared the book they slam the viewer over the head with it. Personally, in a movie like this, I like vague answers at best.)
He's the nervous zombie. What? Don Knotts is in it?

District 9 because it's taking real 3rd world conditions from often overlooked regions - a Shantytown in Johannesburg for disaster sites in Mexico - and using them to create an effective atmosphere for science-fiction and horror. Cloverfield because there's a big fucking mysterious monster, and a few regular people are trying to survive it.It looks like Giant Octopus vs Mega Shark meets The Road with some of The Blob thrown in, and a little inspiration from Jaws, Runaway Bride, and The Incredible Mr. Limpet.
Neat! I can just string titles together to create vague comparisons too. Amazing! An action-packed roller coaster thrill ride tour de force!
