Adventures of Brisco County question

I never watched the show but respect the opinion of this forum as you all have turned me onto a lot of great shows. Is Brisco County any good? Reason I'm asking is the dvd set of the entire series is on sale for $15 and I'm wondering if it's work plucking down the money for this series? Or would I be disappointed?

I've asked a couple of friends and got mixed reviews from them. A few loved it and a few hated it.

Depends on how much you like Bruce Campbell and the sorts of things he tends to be in. It's all very tongue-in-cheek, so if you're at all a fan of things like Scrubs, Hercules and Xena, Ferris Bueller, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ally McBeal, Young Frankenstein, then you'll probably enjoy it. Personally, I think Bowler gets a lot of the really good lines.

(Disclaimer: I own the series. It was the one thing I registered for when Kati and I got married, and I got it. So I got to be happy twice that day)

I've not seen it since it was first run, I just have a general feeling of happiness from watching that show.

Brisco was great... I used to never miss an episode when it was on TV, and now I have every episode torrented. Good times.

Brisco County, Jr. is cheesy, pretty goofy, and feels a little like a silver age comic book. And it is GLORIOUS.

Well, I'm convinced. I'm placing my order. Thanks all. This group turned me onto Dexter, Weeds, The Venture Brothers and Supernatural to name a few shows so I value the group opinion here.

Just remember that it is SUPPOSED to be a goofy comedy. I just downloaded the pilot last night and while watching it I remembered how silly and kinda dumb it is. But it gets MUCH better after the pilot.
