I opened the goodie basket my mother sent home with us.

2 Boxes of home made truffles
Home made cookies of various varieties (yes, even my favorite peanut butter and hershey kiss)
Tea
Home made caramels
Dutch bread
Banana-raspberry nut bread

I can't wait to be digging in.

I got two big things this year, a Kindle WiFi+3G and a Nikon Coolpix. Both will be awesome when I go to Prague next month. I also got a big box of goodies from a friend a few states over which are pretty delicious.

I got some great looks of joy and surprise from my daughter and wife as they opened their gifts. Best gift I got, my daughter decided that the entire family had to hold hands and dance around her baby brother while singing Christmas carols. It was awesome!

Just got back to the office today and on my desk was a big bottle of smirnoff vodka, a jeep wrangler matchbox car, and two oven mitts. I had unsuccessfully tried to jumpstart a coworkers car the week before Xmas and ended up burning my hands when a short melted my jumper cables (Plastic melted off, I went to pull them off and grabbed the melting plastic/copper mass). I'll use the oven mitts next time.

my first Bluray movie (Ghostbusters), a Bluray player (my gift to myself day after Thanksgiving) , an HDMI switch so I can switch back and forth from the Tivo to the Bluray and still keep a full 1080p res.; a Garmin Nuvi 255w GPS (WOOHOO!) that I am LOVING.... and a concussion from crashing while skiing on my birthday on the 23rd resulting in stop and go speech this week but not so much in typing. (go figure!) =P

I got a Canon Rebel T2i DSLR camera (it kicks major ass), 2011 Smackdown vs Raw for the xbox 360, an obscene amount of laffy taffy, some older games on steam, some old pc games from gog.com, some clothes and a gift certificate for a massage (can't bloody wait to use that).

My mum gave me money so I bought a new computer desk with that. I still need to send her a picture so she'll know what she got me.

And since I'm now single and live far away from my family, I bought my own Christmas gifts this year.

Well.... Mom bought me a dress and a blouse. We were passing by Dress Barn, and I commented that something was pretty, and she led me in by the hand. I insisted that we didn't have to but she said, "This is practical! Teaching clothes!" Aw Mom. It's a pretty black and white polka dotted dress, too... so cheery.

I'm usually the one giving gifts not receiving them. This past year I did get 1 breadmaker from a person I work for. Still no easy bake oven. :( LOL maybe next year..
