Two and a half men, Off camera issues can get you fired?

At least one of the reporter suggest, but while Sheen's off camera life is a mess, he is doing what is he is doing ON camera (i.e. while at work) so here is a question.

If you were doing your job and doing it well (in similar case since the show is doing well and people enjoy it so something is going right) but after work you party hard, getting divorce and well... party REALLY hard ;) (mess up hotel rooms and such)

can your boss fire you?

to me, it is like the Japanese. You work really hard and do a good job, but after work, some party pretty hard (usually with the boss)

in this case, Charlie's off screen stuff is exactly like his on-screen stuff. If they fired him for it even though he's showing up for work and doing his job then they'd be big fucking hypocrites.

If the show wasn't (insanely and unexplainably) successful, of course they would but is, so they won't.

you know Dave, I didn't even think like that. He is practically doing what he is doing offscreen like he did on screen.

For an actor off screen behavior rarely affects the job.

But if the actor has an uncontrolled drug/alcohol problem, the insurance companies will not insure the production. That's why Lindsey Lohan can not find work.

If I committed ANY serious misdemeanor or any felony, I'd be fired promptly.

Let me explain something to you. Over here, CBS has a veritable army of mindless old people zombies who watch every show on the network. It doesn't matter how shitty or unfunny the show is, they still watch it. So, Two and a Half Men is a mega-hit... because it is on CBS. CSI is still a mega-hit... despite terrible writing and losing almost every cast member. It's both sad and annoying at the same time.
