Wait, what? What did I say?

EDIT: Ooooooohhhh... THAT.

It's kinda sad that I only manage to make multi-level jokes when not meaning to.

Bought a PS3 this weekend. Target was having a nice sale actually. $50 off. Also, if you're looking for HDMI cables, Walmart.com has 6' cables for 3.98. Yes you read that right. (I know you can get both cheaper, but for reputable sales, that wasn't bad). Oh, and I sold my dust-collecting Wii, which even my 7 year old had abandoned, for more than half the cost of the PS3, so it was a good trade. I sold the wii to the public library, which wanted one for the kids' room.

This is me in the games aisle or store for the Wii :/

Had another amazing weekend with the girlfriend and her daughter. We both had a three day weekend so instead of her having to leave on Sunday, she was there till Monday night.

We cooked together, breakfests and dinners. Watched a ton of movies, took the kids out exploring/traveling/shopping, played games with them in the afternoons, talked, and just flat out enjoyed every moment together.

This really isn't going like a "normal courtship", we've moved straight to the phase that takes place right before moving in together. We can barely pull ourselves apart from each other even after spending nearly 4 full days together. I have trouble sleeping when she's not by my side, I would give anything to come home to her every day after work. Life with her couldn't possibly be more "fit into place".

I'd slow down a little Jiarn.

From what I'm gleamed from your past post your are a very quick mover when it comes to relationships. This is not a good thing all the time.

Oh I don't have any intentions of moving things past the point they currently at any time soon. I'm simply stating that I could easily see that situation in our future.

I have learned my lesson in that department, even in those situations though, I wasn't as sure as I am with this person. The rest seems like pomp and circumstance at this point. Like we have to follow social norms of what is "the right pace".

Well, my paperwork with the parish school board is moving along. I called to check on it today. I'm not in the system yet... this seems like it's taking a long time, but the lady said I should be there tomorrow or Friday. I applied at a bread shop today, because I'm getting antsy at home, and subbing jobs might not be plentiful.

Also on the bright side, because of all this waiting, I've had plenty of time to catch up on my reading and writing. I've also done lots of organizing and clearing out of my stuff. So, even though I feel like a bum for most of the day, I'm managing to keep busy and make myself useful. Running a lot of errands for relatives, too, and catching up with them.

MY SUBBING PAPERWORK WENT THROUGH!!! WOOHOO!

Now I just have to wait until jobs come up for Monday. :D *happy dance* I gotta say, I love our parish's database for finding jobs. It's all done on the website instead of on the phone, and it's super easy.

Yes, I will say one thing for Louisiana: they seem to have embraced the internet. More so than they had in Boston.

Ok, so minor victor/epic win/not so serious rant all rolled up into one:

(Rant) My kids had the day off from school on Monday, (Minor Victory) so I had to schedule my day off for that instead of my usual Sat/Sun off. So I avoided any issues with child care. (Rant)However, I'm now scheduled to work a full shift on Sunday. (Epic win) My girlfriend is coming over to stay with me another weekend and will be staying from Friday Night to Sunday night. (Rant) Problem again is I work Sunday till 6pm, and don't have help with my kids. (Epic Win) My girlfriend has volunteered, that since she'd rather not leave on Saturday night, she'll stay with the kids till I get home. (Minor Victory) So it all works out in the end, but I'm still working Sunday instead of spending it with her.

Subbing has to be one of the hardest jobs to show up for. You get "that call" at 6 am on a Friday, saying Mrs. Boudreaux has a cold (hangover) and can not make it in...

Do you say yes?

Hells yeah. And most of the jobs are on the database the night before. So all I have to do is make sure I look early enough to snag the jobs already posted.

The local F.Y.E. is going out of business after this weekend. I scored seasons 1 - 3 of The Ventures Bros. for $43. Not bad at all.

I just did 50 sit ups! :)
Less than 2 weeks ago, I started doing sit ups. I started with 35 (that's when I got tired), then the next day did two sets of 35, and the next day I did another 35. By then my abs hurt REALLY BAD. I gave it a couple days rest because I didn't want to seriously injure myself. A few days later I did 40, waited 2 or 3 days and did 50 today! My goal is to be able to do two sets of 50 in a day. Tinkerballa needs abs of steel, I have decided.

Been subbing, mostly as a Special Ed classroom assistant in order to get a little bit of background in it. I've learned a lot in a short amount of time. For example: my gagging reflex isn't so bad when I realize that I have to change this 5-year-old kid's diaper or else he's going to be uncomfortable and fussy all afternoon. I had the best time in the hottest, most disorganized and chaotic classroom I've ever been in. Gave em my number after they commented on not being able to hold on to subs. I'm going to be sad if I never get to see them again. This is a good feeling--a feeling that my daily actions finally mean something.

Oh, and I have an interview tomorrow to take the place of a 3rd grade teacher going on maternity leave. Even if I don't get it, it's all good, because people from 3 different schools now have called for me specifically for subbing jobs. I won't want for work even if I don't get this position. I'd REALLY like it for the better pay, though. After 2 weeks, the amount I make will shoot up by a great deal. I just feel so good right now. Useful.

I had a minor victory today but I can't say what it is. If I could it would probably be a major victory. Regardless, I am happy about it.
