Just watched an episode of
Dudesons in America, the one where the guys try to earn an honorary membership in a Native American tribe by completing their own variety of ordeals, including jumping on a (barrel) horse from the roof, attacking a (mock-up) train with a car painted to look like an eagle, catching fish with their bare teeth, getting whacked on the nuts with a totem pole and that sort of stuff. They actually managed to get an Indian chief, Saginaw, to be the judg of the ordeals, and they certainly earned their titles. One guy broke his back, the other broke at least three ribs.
I was a bit surprised to hear this episode got taken off the air in the States (after twenty or so reruns, of course) because of a petition made in one of the reservations. Granted, the Dudesons have about three brain cells in total, but they weren't mocking the Native Americans. They were just being their usual dim-witted, masochistic selves in their ordeals. And, to be honest, they actually seemed quite respectful of the chief.
I have to admit, it makes me giggle thinking that I can watch something like this back here that won't get aired in the States due to political correctness
