As is Jay Chou. That guy used a grand total of two expressions in Curse of the Golden Flower: poker face, and slightly different poker face.Hell no, Seth Rogan is an absolute atrocity of an actor.
He was not in that movie at all?I don't know, I never saw "...Sarah Marshall"
Charles, are you asking us or telling us?He was not in that movie at all?
Oh, well. At least we got another sweet Ebert burn.
There never has, and never will be anything likeable about Seth Rogan.I caught it and I rather enjoyed it. It had a few really funny moments, the leads are likeable and the action was exciting. Better than it really had any right to be.
I still dont' get what the point is of using names of something, if you're just going to create something completely different. It lessens the film in alot of ways it doesn't need to be brought down on.My wife and I watched it last Friday. It was funny as heck.
sure it didn't quite follow the old storyline. I just think of it as a new story line with comedy.
Because if all the ever did was repeat the old story there would be no reason to make a new movie. It's about updating and having a fresh view of the materialI still dont' get what the point is of using names of something, if you're just going to create something completely different. Except they don't do that. They create a movie, use a couple names here and there so they can call it "a remake" but they completely gut out the entire original content that it might as well be a completely new IP all together.Because if all the ever did was repeat the old story there would be no reason to make a new movie. How so? Guy inherits paper from his father, fights crime in a pimped out car armed to the teeth, has an asian combat expert as a driver and is wanted by the police. They got the important stuff right.Except they don't do that. Not for nothing, but while I enjoyed the flick, Britt Reid was NOT likable.I liked it. The characters were likable, the action was decent, and the story was somewhat compelling. Not bad, all in all.
You should have complained once Seth Rogen became involved..
