New Picture Thread

So, wedding pictures! (Not of the bride and groom, hah!)

My best Silver Jelly/Tegid impersonation.

The wife and I

I tried to get into every picture I could - after a lot of alcohol.

Can't remember who this girl was, but she sat down and talked to me for a good half hour. Got an ear full from the wife on the way home. Now I know why! hahaha

Adammon, are you familiar with the game of "icing bros?" If so, I commend your self-confidence. If not, you may better understand my reaction once you are. ;)

Dang. Spittin' image. Also, that's an unusual look for a 3-year-old... like she knows something that other 3-year-olds don't. :) It's a streetwise kind of look.

For those who don't follow the cosplay thread, or the associated contest, but still want to see a picture of me making a fool of myself:
Picture 006.jpg

That's me dressed as an Alley Viper from G.I.Joe. Yes, the "costume" is made from scrap paper and crayons.

The things I do on a whim.

Hey Tin, I will be working at Arlington National Cemetery when I get there, if you want I can see if I can get you a behind the scenes tour when I get there.

Time for Terrik's "I haven't traveled for a while so here's a ton of pics" super post(s).

These past few days we here in China have been enjoying "Qing Ming Festival" aka. Tomb Sweeping Festival where people pay respect to their ancestors and maintain their graves/tombs. It also means two or three days of vacation. So I took a trip to nearby Water-ish city Suzhou and to Century Park in Shanghai.

9 stories. The story behind it is an emperor about 1,000 years ago built it to honor his "mother" (not natural mother , the woman who raised him). 9 floors were chosen since 9 signifies long life.

You always have the best pics, Terrik! I'd love to go there some day but I have 2 issues: Eastern toilets and not sure how the food is. Every time I see stuff about China they are eating things I usually throw away or step on. (Or scoop off the lawn and put in the trash...)

Great pictures Terrik! I see a few familiar places there, though I haven't been to Shanghai since 1986 so a lot of it has changed dramatically. My wife, who is from Shanghai, took the kids back a few years ago but someone had to work to pay for that trip. They spent nearly a month visiting her Grandmother and family all over, more time than I could take. Just curious...how much did the pretty Chinese girl get for pawning the gwai lo? And Dave I look at a lot of real Asian cooking and say "That's just grass!" or compare to my garden findings so I know what you mean. I usually eat the grass anyway, with the right sauce and those crunch bits it's pretty good!

Doc congratulations on the Arlington assignment! Do you really want to be that close to all of the DC bullshit though when you have decent distance at present?

Well as soon as I get out of Iraq, I am sure it will all be moving too fast for me. I love Hawaii but every 3-4 years I start to get restless to move on, and I enjoy the National Capitol Region. Also I hear Georgetown girls put out more than UH girls.

Me too. Unfortunately, my wife and kids don't agree.

Some new pictures.

Mom insisted on taking these with her cell phone. Came out alright...

Aaaaand I don't know what I was thinking, but apparently I look like this during our late-night Changeling: The Lost games with friends. Yikes. I don't know what's in this picture, but it kinda gives me the creeps.

Dude, you gotta trim that beast of a beard. Know what'll look really good to fit the frame of your face? Trim your beard to a line that outlines your jaw and ditch the mustache.

You'll be so hot, you'll be your own sauna coal!

Ignore the douchebags in the photo, but this is what I'm talking about. I'll look good. Don't go as thin as they do.

Just ditch the mustache entirely.

But if you want a full beard, you still gotta trim and get rid of those fly-aways...

see how this dude's beard hairs all go in the same direction. That looks really professional.

Sorry, but this is what ran through my head when I read your caption and saw the picture. I have to share this or my head will explode. (just so you understand that this is for my own sanity)

Gonna agree with Mathias here, beard-goatee with good trim but not too thin ftw:

YES! You sexy beast! You have exactly what I'm talking about. NR should do that without the mustache, since his doesn't grow in very full.

I used to do only the goatee but ever since I buzzed my head I like the "connected" look I've got going now.

Pic I took of my sis during a shopping trip, she found a hat she just couldn't resist adding to her collection:

She also bought a Supergirl shirt that day while I picked up a Galaga.

Christ on a stick fade, I laughed hard. My oldest son says I look like the Nostalgia Critic.

Yeah, she okayed that pic because as usual, her eyes aren't showing. Somehow she thinks that magically hides her identity or something. Clark Kent powers or something. Her only complaint is that she looked "frumpy" with that jacket on. To which I obviously called her a fatass. It didn't end well for me.
