I finally got around to asking my neighbor how her trip to Maui was. She loved it! Why? No mention of activities or beautiful beaches. The first and only reason out of her mouth was because (and this is exactly what she told me and not my interpretation) there are mostly white people there instead of native Hawaiians and Asians like here on Oahu. 
I KNOW. I travelled Europe this summer, everywhere I go, people yammering away in their weird little secret languages, like they're TOO GOOD to speak English. Even in Ireland they have signs in "Gaelic". More like "Gay-lic" amirite? What is wrong with everywhere that is not my hometown... Neighbourhood. It is clearly the only safe, normal place in the world.
Sounds like my brother and sister-in-law. They moved to Michigan, and afterwards they told me it was so nice because almost everyone around them is white (they're in the upper peninsula). My last check showed it with Kloppenburg only 2000 votes ahead.Last I saw was 4k with 90% of the vote in. Crazy close. Looked like Kloppenburg was going to run away with it until Fond Du Lac reported in.

Well, looking at all the precincts I have a sneaking suspicion that Prosser has it. Waukesha still has lots of votes to count and they went 73%/27% for him. Seems a given that trend will continue.

I know you don't mean it, but the word 'natives' is actually a really pejorative term to describe an indigenous population. Oh the irony!
In another 30 years indigenous will be a pejorative term.

There is a farmer in my part of the 'hood that puts his cattle in a field with a 20 foot stretch where there is no barbed wire (bobwire if you are from TX). I am getting tired of having to drive around cows that are nearly the size of my car.
There are also too many assholes that drive 50 mph+ in that stretch of 30 mph residential road. I hate to say I kinda wished that one of them would have come through this morning. Maybe a dead cow and a totaled SUV will get people to slow down through there. The weekly deer killing does not seem to slow anyone down at all.

Ugh, some douchebag on my online scrabble game just freaked out on me for "cheating". Why does he think I'm cheating you ask?
I used the word "GOBO".
He says there is "no freaking way you know what that word means".
Considering I spent 40,000 dollars on an undergrad BA in visual effects and film I think I better damn know what that word means but of course, I can't convince his royal highness of this so I just tell him that. "I can't convince you of what words I know or don't. So if your giant amazing brain has figured out what words I do know and don't and you think I'm cheating then just resign the damn game or play a word."
He called me a "bad liar" and quit. Which means I won.
