The difference is, 419 scammers come to you under false pretense. Vegas nightclubs, you sort of shed the "wide-eyed innocent who didn't know what they were getting into" credibility when you enter and start squirting your pals with dom perignon therein.
I wonder if you could work a scam in a dark bar or restaurant where you walk up to a table, present a credible bill, and steal a card as the new waiter.
I imagine you'd have to use the card PDQ... within an hour I'd say the card would be reported stolen.
Dana White? Grounded? His entire business expertise is based on palm-greasing. He has a killer promotional instinct, but at the end of the day, he's the kind of guy who'll take people out to a 200k drink bill on him if he thought it would get, say, MMA legalized in New York state. If it weren't for the fact that he seems to literally live and breath by the worldwide MMA brand, I'd say he was corrupt as hell, but I honestly think he loves the sport too much to allow it to be potentially tarnished by such a thing (plus he makes so much fucking money already).
