...OK, this deal looks good but I just have one question ( I think this was answered before but I'll ask again):

...does ACII still have that terrible DRM?

...does ACII still have that terrible DRM?
There were news blurbs that the requirement for a constant connection were dropped, and changed to only needing to connect every time you start the game. I don't know of this is true or not, but the disclaimer warning changed slightly.

Someone on the Steam forums tested it, you need to have an Internet connection and a Ubisoft account to start the game, since it asks you to log in every time you play. If you aren't online, it says something about a connection problem and refuses to launch. Losing your connection (or deliberately disconnecting) after that first log-in doesn't affect the game.

It sounds like the news blurbs are correct.

I'm on the fence, myself. I loved the first Assassin's Creed, but this retarded DRM has made me boycott all Ubisoft products. But now it's on sale, and I want to play it, and... and...

Oh hell I'm buying it.

Steam One-Day: ProtoGalaxy $3.40

GOG.com has a weekend sale on the Age of Wonders series
Age of Wonders $2.99
Age of Wonders 2: The Wizard's Throne $4.99
Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic $4.99

Impulse's Weekend Sale - as usual I don't find much exciting. Crysis 2 Limited Edition for $29.97 is pretty good, considering that the first Crysis took a long time to drop in price, but nothing else jumps out at me.
