A good 90% of the MvC2 cast was viable, even in high tier play (ie: Dhalsim and Spiral were amazing anti-Sentinel/Storm characters when used correctly), but I will agree it was much harder.

I'm going crazy knowing this game is out, I couldn't even find a tournament stick on Craigslist for under $250, damnit.

Capcom rolls out new vids for their DLC characters:

And before you even say it Jiarn... I know. You can't see it at work. You'll have to wait until you get home.

I'm a little disappointed in Jill's look, but that's because I didn't like the direction RE5 took her. I hope that she has a classic RE-style alternate costume.

When I first saw Shuma-Gorath fight and his voice, Arakune from Blazblue popped into my head.

I just saw these characters available on xbox arcade... for 400 points EACH. That translates to $5 per character. I liked the game and was disappointed with how few characters it shipped with, but that is ridiculous.

Hey, remember how psyched people were about this game? And how Capcom promised there would be new fighters to download in DLC packs, and then they only did one? And then this game all but disappeared? Well, in a move so completely unlike Capcom, they have announced Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. I know, I know, who would have even predicted Capcom would re-release a game with some extra content? Crazy.

So, this copy will include all previous characters (including the DLC characters of Jill and Shuma), plus 12 new fighters. The first four announced in the trailer: Ghost Rider and Hawkeye for Marvel, Firebrand (from Ghosts and Goblins) and Strider for Capcom. It's supposed to be at a reduced price too (I heard $40, but it wasn't confirmed). That's great if you didn't buy the game yet; that sucks if you bought the first and want this one too.

Wasn't the best series ever, but I really loved them. They had a real sense of adventure to them that you don't get in most games.

Well since I didn't buy the previous version, I'll probably pick this up.

Seriously though, they had me at "Firebrand".

...and we've already got a cast leak

...OK, due to money issues I hadn't had the chance to actually buy the original game. But now I look at this and think two things:

1) Do I REALLY buy it this time around or am I risking spending money only for 6 months later "Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Arcade Edition" to come out?

2) NO MEGAMAN AGAIN? FUCK YOU, CAPCOM.

It must be fun to play as Phoenix Wright, though.

At this point, with Inafune leaving Capcom a little while back, I'm pretty sure Capcom is going to do it's best to pretend Mega Man never existed. Fuck them.

I'm pretty sure they cancelled Mega Man Legends 3 because Inafune left and no one knew what to do with the project, not because they hate the series (though the executives never had faith in Legends). In essence, they had their most important staff member leave the company... the guy responsible for their oldest and most successful franchise (Mega Man and it's spin offs) and their newest one (Dead Rising). That'd be like if Miyamoto left Nintendo; they'd have no idea what to do anymore, because they've been leaning on the old guard and not cultivating it's replacement. Besides, Inafune had been leveraging a bit too hard on the company... his vanity project (that crappy Dead Rising movie) is proof of that.

That being said, Capcom has been making some questionable decisions ever since they closed Clover, especially concerning the Phoniex Wright series.

Now they can only do what Capcom does best. REVAMP AFTER REVAMP OF FIGHTING GAMES!

I still fondly remember the Capcom of the NES days. Putting out amazing game after amazing game. Hey, it's Mega Man. Hey, it's Nemo. Hey, it's Ducktales. Ghosts n Goblins, Rescue Rangers, Gargoyle's Quest, fucking Snow Bros (I loved this game so much).

GOD DAMN YOU CAPCOM!

As an owner of MvsC3, I find this fucking stupid and will no longer buy Capcom's first shot at any release now, knowing that they're going to screw me in the end. I fell for SFIV (Which was followed by SSFIV) and now I've fallen for MvsC3 vs UMvsC3..NO MORE I SAY, NO MORE.

The biggest crime here is they had promised DLC character packs. We got Jill and Shuma. Boo fuck you Capcom again.

I agree with this here. The new editions of games I've come to expect. However, when you tell people you are going to have DLC and then hardly release anything... well, that's just extra shitty.

I bought SSFIV and now SSFIV Arcade Edition with 2 more fighters is out. You can download an update with all the changes for like $15 or something, but seriously.

I will be taking my copy of SSFIV and MvC3 to the store and trading them in for whatever else I want. Maybe a preorder of Soul Calibur V

Ugh, not to pile on more Capcom hate, but it fucking sucks that they've also said they have 0 intention of ever putting Mega Man Legends 1 or 2 on PSN either. WHY? What possible reason could there be not to?

I remember hearing something about music rights. Basically they would have to change some of the music in the game (or take it out) in order to re-release them.

Capcom releases a game, and, a year later, releases the same game for less money? FUCK YOU CAPCOM!

Activision, Treyarch, and EA release a game, and, a year later, release the same game with a different title for the same amount of money? I CAN'T GIVE THEM MONEY FAST ENOUGH!

To be fair, I don't buy shit like that from EA or Activision either.

Capcom cancelled Mega Man Legends 3. Goodwill for their horseshit is gone.
Apparently it was your fault that they canceled it.

Yeah, do those of us complaining about Capcom in this thread seem like the CoD monkeys you are comparing us to.

Sure.

Jill and Shuma cost $5.00 each.

UMvC3 has 10 new characters. By not releasing them as DLC, Capcom loses $10.00. More really, since they'd have to pay for distribution, shipping, and packaging. Greedy bastards.

I don't really believe a word of that. They said that Mega Man Powered Up can't be released on the PSP PSN because of technical issues even though it's on the Japanese PSN.

They must have got them.

HA HA! FOOLED US AGAIN CAPCOM! It's not actually announced. Ono just wants to make it. Holy shit that company.

Capcom Guy at SDCC Panel said:
"I’m sorry, there is no Mega Man in Ultimate," Niitsuma apologized. "We had a lot of requests from fans for Mega Man or at least one of them to be in the game. Out of all of the requests we got for Capcom characters, he just didn’t enter the top part of the ranking. Unfortunately, he didn’t make the cut."

That's an outright bold faced lie.

Rocket Raccoon had more requests than Mega Man. Eat. Fucking. Shit.
