I don't know what's going on but just be proud of yourself for not feeling the need to hurt someone else just to feel better.

My rant I have been wanting my mom to leave my house for a few days now so I could have some peace and quiet. She finally did and now I'm kind of scared and lonely. Typical.

I felt like that for a few days after I moved out to Los Angeles. Once I got my apartment set up and settled into a routine, though, I began to feel better.

Thanks.

It sucks when what you were looking for wasn't what you wanted. Can't say I ever feel scared and lonely when I'm alone (I just do that in crowds), but I fully sympathize with looking for peace and quiet and getting in my own damn way.

Bad news: Air conditioning broke last night.
Good news: Fixed by lunch today.
Bad news: After powering up my computers again (which were powered down to prevent damage from excessive heat, being that the highs in texas these days are around 105 F or so), the secondary surfing/torrenting box bluescreened on bootup with a stop code that pretty much means "operating system reinstall needed, and you'll count yourself lucky if that's it." I even made sure it was an orderly shutdown in the first place, this morning.

Well, shit. Guess at least I wasn't in the middle of torrenting anything, and the main PCs and laptop are OK. But it's still inconvenient.

MP3 Player decided today was a good day to stop working. Poop. Lets see if Walmart has one I won't hate to last me for a while.

Having a debate online and some 12-year-old on your side chimes in with "STFU you stupids!" and it's just like... please, dude, stop helping.

No it's ok. I like them. I just can't look at them. That's why it's a rant.
Much like my allergy to salmon. Stupid body.

WHY do car bike racks cost so much?? For these prices, I feel like I should put the weeks on the rack and ride it!

Man, but some people like to hear themselves talk... and when you've been around long enough to have the weight to throw around, that makes it even more frustrating for everybody else.

All the clothing I bought two weeks ago now seem to be too big. Wtf?! I thought clothes were supposed to shrink.

You're not fooling anyone, Fibernet. Changing your name to nTelos or Lumos won't change the fact your equipment and support was, is, and will still be crap.

My home internet is randomly disconnecting for ~2 mins a pop. It's playing hell with my online gaming. ARRRRRRRRGH

When I was in high school, my Dad worked for a division of the local cable company, and they first tested their cable internet on the employees' families. That was awesome going from a 33.6k modem to cable, but it was also extremely flaky for a while. When they got to under one disruption a week, I was cheering. It's not five-nine reliability now, but 14 years on, it's pretty darned close (different city now of course, though my folks are doing fine with the same connection, same house).

Funny thing is, it took about 7-8 years to replace the first "brick" modem they had (the thing weighed about 10-15lbs). And since then the smaller ones have failed about every 2-3 years. So I find that pretty funny that their "prototypes" were actually way more reliable.

Not sure if this is really a rant or not... ranting seems like it should be more angry, red, and fist shaking.

But yeah found out the other day that the cute girl I dig in my German class is only 17, and is still in high school and is just taking some classes at the university  Makes me feel like a pedo.

Hey, 17 is legal in a lot of states. And, frankly, this whole "age of consent" thing is a pretty new idea, evolutionarily speaking. I don't remember how old you are... is she within the (your age/2)+7 range for you?

Every time I try to save money with meatball purchases, it bites me in the ass. First I bought that supersize bag and it turned out to be tiny ones that didn't taste good. Now I bought two boxes of "gourmet" meatballs, but not only are they not pre-cooked, they're also full of peppers and shit.

No more. I'm sticking to my usual brand, size, and dead animal from now on. I can feed these crappy ones to my cousins next time they visit.

I'm still looking for a place to live and it still sucks. Right now I'm staying at a friend's family's place, and they're very nice about it and everything, they aren't rushing me out the door or anything, but I do not feel comfortable using their hot water and eating their food, and really just want to be out on my own. I want to open those boxes in the garage and get to my French onion soup bowls and cook for myself again, and have my DVD collection displayed on my bookshelves and y'know, have a TV set up to watch them on...
