The images are very cool. I hope the artist isn't the one who put them up there and captioned them because that guy/girl seems like a dick.

I think the person writing the caption is different from the artist.

I can't imagine how cool it must be to bring those to school. They look amazing.

Seriously though - nah. That slideshow was ok. It's the ones that require a page reload for every picture that people generally hate with the burning fury of a thousand suns.

If you read through the comments you'll see that the artist comes in and says that his site is getting traffic from that post. Don't know how. I didn't see a link to the original material anywhere.

The good ones have a see all function so you don't have to do that.

his deviantart tumblr url was incorporated into at least one picture, that I saw.

Considering my forum presense is about 90% work and 10% home, it'd be why you see me complain so much about it. All I ask is tinyurls or tldr versions of links I can't access.

Is that really so bothersome you had to point it out as something I should stop doing?

It seemed to me like the teacher was making a joke and didn't deserve to be ridiculed by some dumbass on the internet, oh and the even bigger dumbasses in the comment section.

I don't get why you think the teacher was making a joke. She was griping about the comic, plain and simple.

I didn't really pay much attention to the ridicule, but honestly, I don't really care who meant what as a joke and who didn't. The teacher could've been joking (I'm inclined to think she was), the artist could've meant his comment as a joke as well rather than a ridicule, but seriously, why waste time thinking about what someone (that you're not involved with at all) may or may not have meant and what someone else may or may not have meant?

I thought the cartoons were amazing and the comments amusing. Time well spent.
If I didn't, it was time wasted and time to move on. Life's too short to waste debating stuff that ultimately is irrelevant.

Good point. So I assume that Halforums is now being shut down, or that you won't be coming back? Clearly nothing we discuss here is ultimately important or relevant, so you might as well stop wasting your time. I mean, it's not like people just enjoy discussing things around here, right?

Well firstly i'm just expressing my take on things, I'm not laying down any behavioral standard whatsoever. I'm not saying people can't discuss things, by all means, go right ahead. Sometimes though it just doesn't seem worth it, especially if you don't talk about your own view, but someone else's and try to convince everyone else that your thoughts on what that person was thinking is the right one. People often seem to go a really long way to prove their point.

Second: I didn't say that Halforum has nothing amusing to offer.. I also didn't say that nothing is ultimately irrelevant. Just certain stuff, which is different for everyone. And I didn't say that I don't like discussions either, or people discussing things. Just my view on things. Perhaps you're reading too much into it? Seriously, this is not meant condescendingly, but I do notice people tend to jump on others quite aggressively..
