Bigfoot's dick!Soooo.... Indian food?
I know that, back when I was a dumb kid buying comics, I had no concept whatsoever of how bad it all was. I just wanted people to shoot lasers from their eyes and bad guys to get punched in the face. I didn't actually gain a sense of good and bad art until I was much older. So for the young crowd back then Liefield's work was perfectly fine. I imagine that was a big part of his success.Rob Liefeld happened to be in the right place at the right time and somehow managed to attract a cult following?
I know. I was just adding to your point.Oh, that was directed at Fade's "How did Liefeld get hired?"
I don't understand Liefeld's popularity either.
Nah, you're completely correct. He was just at the right place at the right time. A bunch of kids wanted X-TREME action and he gave it to us... he just didn't include any feet along with it. We didn't have the good sense to care.Oh man, my bad. I thought I had somehow offended >.>
Wait, this is the rant thread. Don't I get a pass here? Also, to get it out of the way, "Fade doesn't like something?"
Actually, let me put on my hipster glasses and tell you that memes actually predate the internet. A meme is any idea, behavior or style that spreads from person to person within a culture. So examples of pre-internet memes would be all those movie quotations everybody bandies back and forth, or old repeated catch phrases like "Where's the Beef?!" or "Of Course not, don't be ridiculous," or "Ehh, what's up, doc?"Ah yes memes, the herpes of the internet.
If you were an English major for that long, apparently you weren't very good at it; hence him having to explainGas, I really hope you do not actually think I did not know that. I usually take this kind of thing in stride but goddamn it I was an English major for 7 years.. I know what memes are.
So why didn't you say "memes - the herpes of human culture?"Gas, I really hope you do not actually think I did not know that. I usually take this kind of thing in stride but goddamn it I was an English major for 7 years.. I know what memes are.
Oh god I can hear it. It's inside my ears!
