Yeah I don't really see cliques either. We can't even make groups any more that I can remember. I miss the groups

and I miss my cartman head!!

GODDAMN CHANGE!

Everybody sees [thing] differently. Film at 11.

Big brother thought the people he controlled were assholes, too, I'm sure.

1) Some humans prefer to adapt their tastes to suit their environment.

2) Other humans prefer to adapt their environment to suit their tastes.

3) Still others prefer a moderate approach - adapting where they like, and changing their environment where they like.

When the answer is "Groups 2 and 3 should not be given tools to change their environment" the question is always wrong.

I suppose those that say we should not allow people to change their environment and the things they are exposed to would also like to do away with the themes, and enjoy it when someone else sets their thermostat and dresses them in the morning, regardless of their personal tastes.

I am not going to say whom I am ignoring because it doesnt matter. But damn this ignore function is awesome. Very thorough! I loves it!

Wait I take it back. At first I couldn't see any sign of them but now I can. Dang. Carry on.

I'm going to test this. I thought you did get a message. Shannow, I'm going to ignore then unignore you. Tell me if you get something.

Crap. Okay. Let me look into it. It might be a toggle that I didn't toggle on update. Or it could be because we are still on Beta 1 and I need to upgrade to Beta 3.

Why do people need a message they are being ignored? That seems a bit drama inducing.

it would help in some discussions to know you are being ignored. it would make replies you see make more sense if you know they could not see your comment or rebuttal.

That, plus the hilarity factor alone is fantastic.

Oh and just fyi Makare, there's already a way to find out if you've been put on ignore by a user through some forum manipulation, so that's why I didn't need Dave to tell me. I just think it'd be hilarious to see at the moment someone puts you on ignore, like "Well that was the button that did it!" kind of thing.

Pretty much this.

Plus, put me in the "don't have sympathy for those who opted out on a total halforum experience".

:)

I guess since I just do not care who is ignoring me I don't see the point. Most threads it shouldnt matter and I unignore people in the threads where it matters like the say say something about the person above type threads because to do otherwise would be pretty dickish.

And that is you, but in some, folks may not unignore, and those reading it who are ignnored may come across a post and see "wait..I jsut said that!!" or..."huh, i completely negated that reasoning 2 posts ago...", and other such things.

I see your point but people do that anyway lol. So much tl:dr then post around here.

I just want to be able to ignore threads. It's far more useful.

The majority of users will post something you may not agree with, or even make you mad, but that doesn't mean 100% of their posts are all this anger-inducing. If it would be, they'd most likely be an actual troll and be removed from the forum. Even the most abrasive users here can post insightful stuff at times.
Signal to noise ratio :)
