Do those flavored waters at grocery stores count as diet soda? I loves those things. They seem soda-y.
Well to be "soda" it has to be carbonated, but as far as the addiction goes, it's either caffeine or artificial sweetener causing it. Flavored waters could have both, but don't always have either.

Yeah I meant the carbonated ones. They don't have caffeine and they are sweetened with splenda.

Oh, shit. I was going to put a "laughter" emote here, but it can't possibly express how hard I laughed a few minutes ago. I was shaking so much I couldn't type. This new meme is a win.

No kidding. The energy drink one had me laughing up a storm again.

Hee hee hee, I'm loving that new meme. Actually... can someone make me one that says "Don't drink Coke, drink water." Or something like that? I'm a self-proclaimed Coke (notice the capital 'C', folks) addict, because I dislike tea and coffee but still need my caffeine fix every morning and during the day. But I'd like to move away from it.

And no, diet sodas don't work for me. Call me strange, but the aftertaste for instance in Coca-Cola Zero and Diet Coke must be what a cat's ass must taste like. And that's a bad thing. You pervert.

I used to drink about 2 liters of Mountain Dew every day as an undergrad. I still can't believe that I didn't go into a diabetic coma. Now, it's almost all coffee, green tea, and water. I have the occasional soda; I'd guess once or twice every 2 weeks. It took me some time to get over drinking water with my meals instead of soda. Soda and mexican food just belong together.

Hardly drink pop at all anymore. Maybe once a month or so? I drink a crap load of coffee though, so I won't pretend to be healthier than thou.
I drink a couple glasses of water a day, and one or two teas as well.

I was warned against Diet soft drinks when I was around 10 or 11. I had these blood and urine tests done but they didn't tell me I was supposed to fast beforehand, and so I drank a huge pop to make me pee. When my results came in, my triglycerides were more than double the expected amount. I was warned not to drink diet pops or chew sugar free gum, because aspertame is twice as bad for your triglycerides.

(Then we found out I was supposed to have fasted beforehand, we redid the tests and it turned out I was healthy.)

Jeeesus, you guys drink a lot of soda. I usually just stick with tea. (too much tea at that)

For the people who scream "Vitamin C!!" Whenever someone says they have a cold. Those people sound like tools.

It will cause diarrhea if you take it excessively. Admittedly this would take around 20 cups* of orange juice worth of vitamin C, though. And it is NEVER safe to promote anything as a cure for an illness when it is in fact not a cure.
