Might give that one a shot - I'm just sick of getting screwed over by hospitals, doctor's offices, and insurance companies. This is the second pain in the ass medical bill we've had to deal with this year. I used to be insured by Premera, and in the state of Washington they've already been fined millions of dollars by the state's insurance commissioner for refusing/failing to pay valid claims which they got out of by making up bullshit excuses or just outright lying to customers. Unfortunately, while I was busy laughing at them for their misfortune, they were busy failing to contact me by any means (email, phone, or mail) while refusing to pay one of my doctor's visits because "they requested additional information from the member and never received a response as to whether the visit was a preventive visit." This, in turn, led my doctor's office to give up and bill me directly, forcing me to have to pay $400 that I didn't really have to avoid being sent to collections.
