Apparently if you preorder it you can get in on the beta and see what's going on yourself.

I always enjoyed Sins of a solar empire and I still play it on occasion. I might have to check this expansion out.

I will often say "Our Capital Ship's shields are DOWN!" in that intense voice the guy in the game uses, but I do so for no apparent reason.

Never had it happen, but the most appropriate would seem to be "A new colony has been founded."
