[TV] Favorite voice-actors.

This is partially inspired by some posts in the "Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles" thread.

Now OF COURSE, my number one favorite is Mel Blanc. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, he literally did them all. He was an inspiration to all vocalists every-where.

My second favorite has to be Frank Welker. Why? Because his range is Freddy Jones from Scooby Doo, to Megatron from Transformers. That is some motha-fizzuckin range right there.

And Mark Hammil, sweet strawberry Jesus Mark Hammil. He is probably my favorite Joker of all time.

Clancy motherfucking Brown. If Hamil was Joker, then Brown was Lex Luthor. And Rhino on Spectacular Spider-Man, which was also awesome.

He was also Mr.Freeze on Batman the Animated series. Even with-out a syntheziser, the man is GOLD! And he was also Super-moose on Jackie-Chan adventures...I'm sorry I was just ASTOUNDED by the range he'd have to have to go from Super-man's arch-nemesis to a silly cartoon within a cartoon.

Restricting myself to living actors...

Welker, f'sure.
Also Jim Cummings, who kinda ended up being this generation's Mel Blanc.
John Kassir, who has voiced everything from the Crypt Keeper to Deadpool.
Billy West, the hometown guy who lived my dream.

Mel Blanc, Frank Welker and Billy West were all mentioned, but I gotta toss Maurice Lamarche into the mix here too. Not quite the range of the big 3, but nonetheless some very impressive performances.
And did anyone mention Jim Cummings yet? Mr. Bumpy himself?
*edit: Oh, geez, right there. In the same post even that Billy West was. I'm blind.

NOOOOOOOOO he was not. Michael Ansara was Mr. Freeze....Kang from old school Star Trek.

Oh apparently Clancy Brown played Mr. Freeze in The Batman, but that's a different show. I do love Clancy Brown, don't get me wrong but Ansara is definitely the definitive Mr. Freeze.

Also, I like Steve Blum, but the guy doesn't exactly have a huge range. He's like Nolan North, who has a good voice and does good work but rarely goes beyond his normal range.

Now, my favorites that haven't been mentioned yet: I'm a big fan of Simon Templeman, the voice of Kain from Legacy of Kain and others. He doesn't really show up in much for some reason, but the dude has a fantastic, sinister British accent and I love listening to him. He made the Legacy of Kain games. I also really like Jennifer Hale and Tress MacNeille since female voice actors rarely get much recognition and these two are both fucking fantastic. I could marry Jennifer Hale's voice.

Oh, THE Batman. I read that article wrong then. Probably my favorite voice actress would have to be Tress Macneile as well. She has literally been in everything. And yeah, Steve Blum doesn't have that much of a range but he's one of those voice-actors who doesn't need a range. He relies more on changing the frequency of his voice than out right changing it.

Like how in Ben 10 he has a deeper raspier voice, but in Megas XLR as Jamie he has a calmer voice.

Anyone casted and directed by Andrea Romeo.

also how has no one mentioned Kevin Conroy after all this batman talk?!?

Because when you say his name 3 times he appears. Man he was a great Bat-man. Who else was glad that he reprised his role in the Arkham games?

Dis friggin forum. Miss one comma and then silly pictures all around.

What's everyone's opinion on Chris Sabat? I think he's talented, but a lot of the new Funimation jobs he gets don't really challenge him as a voice-actor. This dude was Piccolo, Vegeta, Yamcha, and Shenlong. That is some motha-fizuckin' range.

I have always thought that James Earl Jones has a super kick ass voice and needs to do more narration.

Also, Patrick Stewart has an awesome voice.

Christopher McCulloch, Doc Hammer, Patrick Warburton, and James Urbaniak.

What? So I like the Venture Brothers.

You should see them flip, after using a similie.

comma? COMMA! :rage:
....wait. Are we talkin' about the dash? Are we really having this argument right now? Well, I have my reason to laugh today!

Definitely needs to do more narration. Also more villain roles. He could seem so much creepier if he wanted to.

And yes, Keith David is freaking awesome. Man I want to watch Gargoyles again. BUT ONLY THE FIRTS TWO SEASONS! Cos after that it's comic time.

Dangit. Thanks for remembering Tress MacNeille, I should have remembered her since she's dang near everywhere.
I'm going to add June Foray since she's still going after all this time.

That is a valid criticism. I recognize his voice now. When he was Oghren in Dragon Age, I heard him speak for the first time and went, "Oh, hello, Steve Blum."

Oh! Keith David!
That guy was my choice. His narration in Princess Monoke was some of the only good voice acting in the entire movie (still liked the flick).

Edit: Oh wait he was the voice of Okkoto.....but I could swear he also narrated the intro....anyways he also did these.

Halo - Arbiter
Gargoyle's - Goliath

Quite. That guy is gonna have work for a looooooooooooong time. Cos on Cartoon Network, we got nothin' else!

Speaking of the Simpson, who else misses Phil Hartman? Man, he was a great for sure. Ah, the best die too soon.
