[TV] The Walking Dead

Played it, thought it was great. Storyline is excellent. Choices matter. Lot's of intrigue. political stuff while trying to survive.

My only issue? It's not worth $25 for 3 hours of gameplay. Maybe 5 hours of gameplay when you take other choices.

Other minor issues, don't like how they know know things they shouldn't. Some choices do feel they don't matter.

It's $25 for all the chapters. You get the rest for free.

Oh? Nice.
Yeah, the PS3 and Xbox versions are much cheaper because you need to buy each individual episode separately. I know the 360 ones are going to be 400 points ($5) each, so your probably looking at some around 5 episodes at the very least, if not more. You may have only paid for "Season 1" if things go well though.

I mean, it's possible that what's in the trailer is only taken from like 4 episodes. That is what last season has taught me to expect. But the reason I keep watching this show, is because I want it to be like THAT trailer. If that trailer is actually a decent representation of next season, it's going to be amazeballs.

A 10-minute video with Robert Kirkman talking about the differences between the show and the comic. Quick fair warning for those that haven't read the comic: Kirkman very briefly mentions some things about the next season. Nothing major, just next season's locale and the name of a major character/threat that many comic book fans can't wait to see.

And honestly, he raises similar points that I've mentioned about the show's adaptation and changes. I may not agree with all the changes (like killing off one of my favourite, long-time characters), but at the same time, I see where he's coming from. A lot of Walking Dead's (the comic) intrigue is you have no flipping idea what's going to happen next or who will die. It'd be hard to adapt the comic exactly the same and still have that element of surprise.

Plus, I really enjoy the elements that they added, such as Dale and keeping Shane alive much longer than the comic. Those two things alone create all sorts of new, varied drama.

Darryl?

I was confused. I was like "I could SWEAR Dale was in the comics..."

which also confused me about
I may not agree with all the changes (like killing off one of my favourite, long-time characters)
.
I had to look it up to make sure I was right.
Also, at least now it will be easier to keep track of the "Da" characters.

Started watching this on Netflix while I'm on my ass these couple of days. Good show. Don't care about the restrained use of zombies; just tossing them everywhere wouldn't be any good. Lots of surprises too and the drama really gets me in.

Just hit season 2. I'm surprised they didn't find the road gummed up with cars before this

Also, is Lori supposed to be annoying as hell? Because I just don't like her. "This is a graveyard." Whine, whine, bitch, bitch. If she meant it as "hey, there are potential walkers everywhere," then yeah, that makes sense. But she meant it as "we're robbing them waaaahhh". That's all you've been doing; scavenging. Stupid ass. And is she supposed to be a cokehead? She's always wiping her mouth and nose after talking.

Uh-oh.

Interesting. There aren't many cars in the direction the walkers are coming from considering the size of the horde. Almost looks like they're migrating, which was one of the creepy parts of Stephen King's Cell. I wonder what drives them together.

...not gonna live post. Back to show!

EDIT: Also, while they're touching dead bodies, they need to remember that just because it's zombie apocalypse doesn't mean you can't get infections and other diseases from regular corpses.

Just hit season 2.
Check in with us when you finish season 2. You might care a little bit more about the restrained use of zombies then.

She bitches the entire season. That's ALL SHE DOES.

It's rare I cheered for a character to die in this show... but I really really hoped she'd fucken die. I'm unsure if it's quality acting or the fact I truly hate the character and actress to the point I close my eyes and imagine her impaled on a pitchfork on the side of the barn.... which is burning.

At one point in the season... I rooted for the zombies instead of my usual.... aw fuck no.... I was screaming at the TV... "EAT THE GAUNT NAG!!! EAT THAT NAG!!!!!"

I've noticed the show's been good at keeping me on the characters' side. Not once have the zombies been coming and I've wanted them to go down, even if they were being annoying or shitty, even Darryl's brother.

But... I hear ya.

Finished season 2, episode 4, gonna take a break for a while.

Couldn't believe what Shane did. At first when he got back, I was like "Gee, thanks for showing us, show." Then it got to the end and my jaw was hanging open the entire time.
