All right, I've just got to say: This past story arc? Amazing. It's not geeky humor (which is why most of us got into PvP to begin with) but it proves that Scott does still have some serious writing skills. So much so that it has me typing in italics.
Scott does relationship arcs really well, it seems. Just so long as he doesn't take an arc that shouldn't be a relationship arc and force it into being one (I'm looking at you, Mines of Madness).
For sure. My favourite long-running PVP arc was the year or so that Brent and Jade were broken up. It'd be cool to have something like that again. Especially if people keep giving Francis bad advice, or he keeps misinterpreting it.

He's probably been too busy making tastes or something.Very much enjoying this arc so far.
I wonder if Scott has noticed that we're (mostly) complimenting him, for once.
I guess Tuesday's PvP Scratch was Cosplaying as Garfield at SDCC.
And now he's doing ANOTHER comic, this time for Namco Bandai's Shiftylook site. Expect him to drop The Trenches now that he has a new project.
Or he'll update for the first 3 or 4 comics on time, then then gradually get later and later with each update before silently dropping the project entirely. But not before completely re-purposing the comic halfway through, maybe hiring on a new artist, claiming the new direction will totally give him time to update more, seriously this time you guys!

On the plus side, apparently Straub is also involved in this newest project. I seem to enjoy anything Scott and Kris do together, so there should be hope for this.

Today's doesn't make sense. Either Cole is blatantly mistaken and the joke doesn't work too well, or his large intestine is filled 25 years worth of unreleased poop. Or he can poop while also holding in farts, in which case he should call his ass "John Goodman". 'Cause its big and talented.
He won't drop the trenches. PA is involved with it, and if it even looks like he's late on his art, Khoo will appear in his room in the dead of night and force him to draw.

Is it just me or is the drawing of Val that's in the banner kind of weird? I mean, it looks like she could lick her eyeball.
Tonight it finally hit me what's going to happen with the whole pregnancy arc. There won't be one. Jade or Brent will have fertility issues. Isn't Scott unable to have children or am I remembering wrong again?

I think there's been at least some talk about him not being able to have children or something. Can't recall if he himself has said anything, and frankly I'm not too interested in Scott's junk or its capabilities.
But still, I gotta say that if this pregnancy arc hits that kind of a wall... I am gonna go and call bullshit. First of all, I don't think Scott the tastemaker no longer has the maturity of discussing such a sensitive and painful matter without making it either forced or completely idiotic... and second, it would just show that his incapability to express human emotions and experiences beyond what he himself has undergone. And that's a big weakness for a storyteller of any kind.
I'm hoping, but frankly I'm not hopeful.

Wouldn't that be a lot of projecting himself into the comic and not having ideas of his own, in some way?
But then Brent and Jade couldn't have a wedding of their own but did reenact Scott's.
That fact and the handling of the Francis-Marcy-arc after the deed was done was the straw to breakt his comic camel's back for me, shark-jumping might have been even a bit earlier.

He has gone on record saying that he is infertile. You write what you know...and he was a man that wanted children, couldn't have them and now has this on his shoulders.
I believe he has enough tact to be able to handle such a situation well...if not for himself than for his wife.
