[Question] Live in any fictional universe

No rules in this thread game, just what fictional universe you'd wish to live in.

Me? Star Wars. At best I could be a jedi, at second best I could be a bad-ass bounty hunter, at third best I could be restauranteur. There is no limit to how you could live. Prequel saga at least anyway...

Anothe one'd be Transformes. Best situation I'd be a transforming robot, at least I'd be friends with a transforming robot. Either way it'd be cool.

Star Trek.

Although I'd love to be in the Star Wars universe as well, there are too many ways to die in Star Wars. Civilians seem to live pretty posh lives in the Federation and even Starfleet itself is psuedo-military at best.

Another one would be the "Dragonball" universe. At wors I'd be Krillin(who by human standards is a god) and at best I'd be Goku. Plus I could learn kung-fu.

Your worst case scenario is to be one of the primary 'legendary warriors'?

Worst case scenario, you'd be Mr. Satan.

True true. But even THEN I'd still be the reason that they killed Kid Buu in the first place. Dragonball is one of the only fictional universes where lying and deceit will save the world. FUCK YEAH!

And less than that, I might read Gohan's "Amazing science" book and learn chi attacks! And then I could wish to eenbe a super sayain! Seriously though, why the hell hasn't DBO been brought to the U.S?

Living on Earth, in Star Trek: The Next Generation times.

Sounds fucking awesome. I mean, once in a while a Borg ship gets close or the combined Dominion/Breen forces knock on the door but other than that, you live a life entirely as you see fit.

The world of Inception.

With lucid dreams I could enter at any time, it's like having every fictional universe available at once.

The Belgariad/Mallorean universe sounds pretty neat, though a bit stereotypically medieval. He might want to consider the one from Her Majesty's Wizard (Stasheff) or Spellsinger (Foster) as well. More opportunities.

It's a really hard choice for me. In the end, I see Star Trek (with its promise of being able to develop and live up to my full potential without being dragged down by the need to make a living) narrowly beating out the Humanx Commonwealth.

I'd hate to live in the Star Trek universe. Our lives would exist right in the middle of all the shit that happens on earth before the warp-drive discovery.

One Piece, only if I'm marine or pirate. Other-wise I could end up a slave, which yes is a major sub-plot in One Piece. REAL LIFE ALLEGORY BITCHES!

No, worst case (and more likely) scenario is that you'd be one of the spectators at a tournament who gets vaporized.

Anyhow, this is a tough question. Probably the Power Rangers universe. Get to live in a world where humanity can use its technology to create super soldiers who pilot giant robots (See: Lightspeed Rescue and Operation Overdrive) in the modern day, but I live in Michigan so the chances of being stepped on by a giant monster are pretty slim. Live in California? You're fucked.

Living in the Star Trek universe NOW would suck, and other than a few alien suicide death balls, a borg cube or two, Dominion invasion, an Earth shattering whale cigar, a Deus Ex Voyager probe and a pissed off clone with an improbably powerful (and completely nonsensical) doomsday ship, the Star Trek future would be pretty rad.

INTERACTIVE STAR TREK GOOGLE DOODLE!!!!11!!11[DOUBLEPOST=1347047075][/DOUBLEPOST]Back on topic: Futurama or Simpsons, Ranma 1/2 might be fun.

Star Trek... if only for the reasons their amazing medical techonology/technobabble could probably cure me lickety-splick. Otherwise it might be boring, unless I could get me some good holosuite porn.

His said his reason for the Belgariad really isn't that he wants to live in that type of world, but wants the abilities (Power of the Will) that could come with it if he did live there. Now that he explained it to me, technically it's not what the OP was asking.

You could be like the Season 1 TNG finale, wherein the Enterprise discovers an "ancient" Earth cryogenics satellite containing three frozen humans from the 21st century all with easily curable conditions given 24th century medicine.

I vote Star Trek as well, although at BEST I'd probably end up like Barclay and develop holoaddiction.

Hmmm... I could get behind living in the Belgariad/Mallorean universe, but only if I could live in Drasnia, Sendaria, or Aloria. I couldn't do just massive grassy plains and horses, or way-too-much nobility and honor killings, or the windiest fucking island in the world. Though the extremely rich island(s) in the Mallorean could be nice.

Also, Dune on the planet of Dune itself, but out in the deserts. Or, within Manticoran space in the Honorverse. I'd love to be able to just genetically correct all of my potential health problems out of existence.

Except if you end up as a civilian living/working/getting high in whatever place the Decepticons and Autobots start to fight in. Then you're most likely hand-waved collateral damage.

Avatar; the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra universe. No contest. I don't even have to be a bender, just make me live there.

The lazyass in me says Star Trek, TNG or later, because replicators and holodeck technology, along with an economy that no longer relies on money, would allow me to sit on my ass and game in true 3D all day.

"Where's GasBandit?"

"He went into the holodeck and we haven't seen him since march."

(adapted from a Dilbert Comic)

North_Ranger And my head-stone will say "Killed by a robot." I would be okay with that.

And yeah freakin' Avatar! Even if I'm not a bender I could still be some kick-ass swordsman.

And a Japanese monster movie as the monster. Cos even if I die, if Toho makes a sequel I'll come back some-how.

As an elf in the North Pole from the classic Rudolph tv special.
Yeah that would be freakin' awesome. I mean those guys HAVE to have good lives, I mean they only have to work once a year. Even if you don't get payed, you'd love what you do because you'd know it would make kids happy. Plus elves are immortal so you might not even need money.

...which is kind of what I figured (I figured he was looking for The Will and The Word), and that was exactly why I suggested the other two worlds.

Kati also considered the Star Trek universe, but settled instead on the world of The Dispossessed.

I'd totally be a Barkley, and I would be totally cool with that.

Hmmm.... maybe the world from the "Wheel of Time" series.Being an Asha`man would be kickass, even if it is pre-cleansing and I probably would go crazy from the use Saidin and had to be put down like a rabid dog.

The Naruto universe seems kinda cool to.

Star Trek Universe, but only in the 23rd/24th Century. Right now would be right about in the middle of the Eugenics wars, and that wouldn't be fun.
