I hear they did an X-Play retrospective and forgot that the show existed long before the G-4 buyout of TechTV.

Sessler was even the only person to survive the techTV makeover. He hosted the show back when it was called.... shit, what was it called. Extended Play, I think?
 
That's not entirely true. Morgan Webb joined the show as cohost when it was rebranded as X-Play from Extended Play (Sessler had been solo host of Extended Play for a couple of years after departure of his last cohost shortly after the rebranding of Gamespot TV to Extended Play) and that was a year or so before the G-4 buyout of TechTV. Bloody show started in 1998.

Oh yeah, I remember that. Morgan actually started as an intern on The Screensavers.
 
Yeah, I stopped caring about G4 when Adam Sesslar stopped having any kind of noticeable effect on the quality of G4. Once he left, I was done... though to be fair, I lost most of my interest when they cancelled Portal.
