This is the first time I've seen it animated.
Also, the mechanism I saw depicted in a drawing did not rotate around the same axis as the animation above ("yaw"), but one perpendicular to that ("pitch"), as though to somersault the baby out of the womb.
None of these mechanisms seem to take the placenta into account, though. What happens to it? Does it get separated like an egg yolk? Rejected like a green tomato? Does it splat comically onto the baby's face? Do the baby and placenta wrap themselves around an innocent bystander like a thrown bola? There are just so many ways it could go wrong.
