I've played against that deck going on 10+ times. I've won 9.
It's not very effective against rush decks AT ALL. It only wins against Hand decks and Control.

Going to agree with this completely. Since there's no need for fast mouse accuracy it's just smoother with an Analog stick for movement. Also the battles are -take turn- so even more so.
I actually let my wife make all my characters in any customizable character game. She'll sit at the computer and just come up with all kinds of different looks. Skyrim, FFXIV, WoW, etc. All my characters are her ideas/creations.
I'm sure there's a percentage that either wouldn't be able to go at all or would like to offset the cost of the outfits/trip by doing some of the work. Also you gave a reason why the cosplayers wouldn't want to do this, not why the companies haven't tried it.
