Rewatching the Wire because it's the fucking best and my wife hasn't seen it before.
Finished season 2 a couple days ago. Didn't really like that season on my first watch, but appreciate it much more now on this revisit.
Also watching Treadstone (pretty good so far), and we watched all of...
Fucking Shoppers drug Mart sure knows how to price gouge.
Had to pick up diapers and some toiletries, stopped at a Shoppers on my way to work.
Not a single thing in store was on sale.
Not
A
Single.
Thing.
All regular price. And shoppers is pricey.
We normally buy 118 diapers for $25.99. I...
Going into work today basically just to pack up my shit. It's being "strongly recommended" we work from home beginning next week, for the foreseeable future.
Everyone at work had been wondering why this wasn't asked of us already, but we're glad it's finally happening. We're pretty close to...
My experience using a bidet the one time I have:
"Ah, so clean. But... Now I'm... Wet. Do I use a towel? Am I seriously supposed to dirty a towel every time I pop? Cause that's like three towels a day."
All schools and daycares in the province are closed for two weeks following March Break.
This is a bit confounded by the fact that all four teachers' unions are in the middle of very ugly contract negotiations with rotating strikes. My wife and I are HOPING she's going to still get paid for...
Because millennials.
And I say that as one of them. But this to me looks like millennials failing to grasp that times change.
Their idea of a parent is the boomer generation of parents they grew up with, but their idea of a kid is generation z. (That gen z kids actually typically have gen x or...
Jumanji: The Next Level
The first one was a pleasant surprise, but this one really failed to live up to its predecessor. It had its moments, but as a whole it just didn't deliver.
What's kept me away from SoW, aside from time, is that my friend, who is also a big fan of the Nemesis system, hated it.
But, said friend also loves Fallout 4. So, you know, different tastes.

The 3 was a typo, obviously.
Yeah I haven't made it that far.
I may finish it eventually but for now I'm enjoying the hell out of God of War. And I have myself RDR2 for my birthday so that's next.
I've been really struggling to force myself to enjoy Fallout 4, and it's just not happening. I finally put it on hold and started God of War 2018 and hot damn that was a good ass decision. GOW deserves all the praise it got. I loved the original GOW games but the 2018 entry just flips the whole...
Yesterday
It's an enjoyable movie, even if only for the soundtrack. I feel like it doesn't quite deliver on its premise, as it sets up these mysteries of why did this happen? Why are these select few things what's different? Why are there only a select few who can remember them? And it abandons...
Never got to see Rush live. I'm a little young to have seen them in their hay day, but would have loved to see them nonetheless. That just wouldn't be the same without Neil Peart.
