When I'm kidding, I'll tell you. I'm really not kidding! I loved it. It was probably a close second to Inglourious Basterds as the funnest time I've had at the movies all year. It's a masterpiece of destruction. For anyone that even halfway enjoys disaster porn, it's really a moderately slow build in the first little part of the movie, then orgasm after orgasm after orgasm until the credits roll. The final boss of the movie is

. When that happened I literally threw my hands in the air and resisted shouting YES. There are some stupid parts, but they're REALLY in the minority and are mostly funny instead of annoying.

It's better than ID4. Maybe it didn't have better characters BUT there was infinitely less annoying shit and the disaster sequences were exponentially better, longer, more involved, etc
