I would really like to be able to have the animated version of my av. Can we change our personal setting to allow them if we want?

There is no user choice. It's either on for everyone or off for everyone. And I have to make changes to files to turn it on. They are still animated on the user card, just not in threads.

You're getting very sleeeeeepy... When you awake, you will desire to change your avatar to a cute bunny that blinks its eyes and twitches its nose periodically....

The biggest issue (since I'm researching this) is that the necessary PHP package is not installed on our server. I'd have to open up a ticket to have it added by the host. I probably could do it through the WebHost manager but I've never done it and wouldn't want to tinker.

WTF kind of BS software needs a php package to display an image format that is literally supported by every single browser? Dude! The code is IMG="filename.gif" width=x height=y. What is wrong with people these days making crap more complicated than it needs to be? If you ask me, it's all been downhill since this CSS garbage came along...
