I've never gotten it to work on any mobile or tablet, mine or otherwise.

Not at the moment, no. But I've never been able to get Coub to play on my phone (iOS), a coworker's phone (Android), non-Windows tablets (Silk), etc.
Some of this might be firewall-related, but since I can play them on desktop (macOS/Win7/WinX) I assume it's not that, unless the media add-on or Coub itself serves up streams differently based on platform.
Not an issue now since I'm stuck at home in front of desktops, but w/e. Anything I can't play, I just check out later on desktop... if I remember. It's not a huge loss if I miss a video or two, right?
