@Squidleybits, last night I ran into a goblin that dropped nothing but gems. I didn't know those existed but I ended up with more than 30 of each of the gems. Nice!
That formula will work for every weapon.Do you take specific weapon math requests?
There are different kinds of gobs now (you can tell by color). Some of them drop only specific things. I have yet to find the goblin that only drops legendary items, though.@Squidleybits, last night I ran into a goblin that dropped nothing but gems. I've gotten a Whimseydale goblic every time I've played.[DOUBLEPOST=1424794094,1424793871][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh and @Squidleybits, when we grouped the other night you left on Torment IV. When I logged in last night and started my game I went into a rift and it was still set at Torment IV! It was fun! We should rift again!I've gotten a Whimseydale goblic every time I've played.[DOUBLEPOST=1424794094,1424793871][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh and @Squidleybits, when we grouped the other night you left on Torment IV. But I went from level 65 Master to Level 70 (50) Torment II in a single night thanks to you.
I farm at the highest torment I can. As long as I can kill things quickly, the drops are better in the higher torments. And at T6, a trial keystone will drop every time.I've run across a couple of those Gem Hoarders. One when I was relatively low level (say, 40ish?) and was still wearing a whatever-it's-called-helmet-that-drops-a-gem-of-the-type-socketed-in-every-type-a-gem-drops. That guy got me some 30 flawless and regular rubies. Looking back on it, that really should've been socketed with a topaz. Still, fun. Also met a couple of blood-shard-only-goblins. They're fun too, each gave me easily 140 or so blood shards. Also, I've only had a single rift with Whimsyshire enemies (cuddle bears and unicorns). Are they rare, or is that just a coincidence? I didn't even know they existed (not the enemies - rifts with them)
for clarity's sake:
-> Grift key: farming rifts on Torment, higher is more chance
-> Regular rift keys: farming bounties, difficulty chances diddly squat so best on easy peasy difficulty
-> Vault: can only be found on Torment, farming bounties
-> Legendary Gems: only from Grift bosses, higher difficulty = higher chance
-> Seasonal legendaries: best farmed in rifts on lower difficulties, as high as is still fast and fairly riskless.
-> Torment legendaries;: best farmed on bounties on Torment, higher difficulties is better.
-> Blood shards: drop both on bounties (best at least master) and in rifts, no idea which is more efficient
So you're sort of forced to switch occasionally between levels and types of farming, depending on what you're looking for?

In normal play, enemies are usually tied to the tileset. Outdoor tileset have trees, goatmen, beasts. Torture dungeon tileset usually comes with cultists, berserkers, and unburied. With rifts, it'll mix up the enemies you get with the tileset. This can sometimes result in some really annoying combinations.I've only had a single rift with Whimsyshire enemies (cuddle bears and unicorns). Are they rare, or is that just a coincidence? Hey, at least you had some materials for upgrading!!I found one of them in non-seasons. He dropped a bunch of legendaries, sadly they were all awful.
Made it to level 18, [...] I guess that means I should be able to do rifts on T3 or so.
I a sensible suggestion.Anyone any sensible suggestions?
Well, my build sort of works around freezing everyone and everything in place with the hydra's killing them off while they're caught. Most enemies on my screen are frozen, stunned, chilled or slowed at all times, and while Mammoth only attacks in one direction, it ticks far faster than a frost hydra does (seriously, I have only 24% crit chance or so and once there are two or three lanes of fire in one spot the numbers scroll by too fast ). That's also why Blizzard's on Frozen Solid - that is my escape key as it freezes everything around me nice and solid. I experimented with teleport and mirror image (have the Archmage's Vicalyck as well, and the, eh, don't remember, teleport....something something) and I know they're pretty much mandatory for the higher end of the game, but...Bleh.I a sensible suggestion.
Switch out "Glass Cannon" for "Cold-Blooded."
Switch out "Mammoth Hydra" for "Frost Hydra"
Consider switching out "Blizzard:Frozen Solid" for "Blizzard:Snowbound"
Start looking for (or rerolling) gear that does "+XX% cold damage"
Your main stuff appears to be cold-based. Might as well swap in Cold-Blooded. It means losing 5% damage but gaining back the 10% armor and resistances you lost to Glass Cannon, and that's important. Snowbound drastically reduces the cost of your Blizzard, meaning you can cover more area with it without spending the mana you'd rather have for your main attack. Mammoth Hydra is nice, but it only attacks in one direction. All the other hydrae can attack in 3 directions simultaneously.
In fact, since you have the ability to call up two hydrae simultaneously, you might not even need the Blizzard at all. Consider swapping in either Archon or Black Hole instead (the cold versions, of course), or give yourself an escape key by swapping in something like Mirror Image or Teleport.

That seems about right when I think of my DH.
Seen it, that's what I based my "should be able to do T3" comment on 17 is doable, 18 I tend to die too often to be enjoyable, and T3 works OKish...I think I'll stay away from T4 for now
I have my sentries set to Polar station even though I'm primarily fire. The damage they do on their own is minimal and the freezing and slowing is perfect with Cull the Weak. All my serious damage is fire. Yay for Cindercoats! That's anyone, really. Why wear +fire damage gear if all your attack skills are lightning?
--Patrick
I have a Cindercoat in my seasonal stash as well but piercing ray of frost is so much fun (as in, it's a stronger cheaper freezing version of disintegrate )... Still waiting for one or two more fire themed legendaries and I'll probably switch back (thus also making the hydra's even stronger, I'm aware).I have my sentries set to Polar station even though I'm primarily fire. Aurgh! Need Unity Rings!!!That seems about right when I think of my DH.
Whine like a baby Diablo Edition: I really need a follower can't die trinket for my seasonal characters. I have three Unity rings but no trinket. I truly don't care which one I get at this point.
I don't get how people don't have all legendary gems after a few days of farming on level 70. I mean, there's only 17 or so of them and the GR guardians keep on dropping them until you've got all of them (not having enough for all characters is of course another matter). She's levelled her Gem of Ease to 25, so she's definitely done a bunch more GRifts than I have, so I can't imagine her not having them all-Three new legendary gems (I know you have at least one).
I did not want to make assumptions.she's definitely done a bunch more GRifts than I have, so I can't imagine her not having them all
I have in fact done far more greater rifts than I should probably admit toI did not want to make assumptions.

I'm spending far too much time on D3 again because of that damn gem; still trying to get it to level 25 so I can use it to finally level all classes and try them outI have in fact done far more greater rifts than I should probably admit to
I do have all three of the new gems, I just am not entirely sure what to do with the other two. The gem of Ease is awesome! I can go 1-45 in like 30 minutes. I wouldn't usually make so many seasonal characters but its so fun! For the first 20 or so levels its so fast that my screen can't keep up! I made a crusader with the intention of using her solely to make templar weapons, but I got a 2 handed ancient strength sword that's just beastly and she just may need to enjoy it!
I am loving my seasonal monk. Totally the opposite of how I usually play.
I Actually wonder: they've always said the whole on line only thing is to make it easier to play on different locations and such...But I guess I wouldn't be able to play my account if I were to log on in the US? I mean, I *know* people who commute to and fro New York on a weekly basis - do they need separate accounts on both sides, or can they use the same account with the same characters on both realms,....?I would be happy to run some rifts with you, but Blizzard won't let us be friends! Shame on them!
Then it's really odd they don't allow inter-realm friends lists.Blizzard completely allows you to create new Diablo characters in a different region.
They just don't allow transfer.
