That guy who asks if you get to the cloud district often doesn't ask that any more. Because I murdered him and then stuffed his body in a display case. Then his wife, you know, the one who always badmouthed him? She set some goons on me. So I came back and murdered her, too.Heh. Sadly, the one mod that I was really looking forward to seemed to be the one that caused the game to double in speed - Reduced NPC Greeting Distances. Supposed to make it so you have to practically bump into an NPC before they'll start asking if you're doing your good deed for the day, or if you get to the cloud district often, or interrupting you to tell you that they don't have time to talk to you...
I was sneaky about those murders though. There was some other murders I was deliberately un-sneaky about. See, my "meet whatsisface at the shrine of talos again" in markarth quest got bugged somehow so I wouldn't be arrested, and the quest got stuck. I had to advance it with a console command, and then arrange to get thrown into prison (Cedna Mine)... well, I chose to do that by slaughtering every single guard in Markarth in open combat, then went into the Jarl's palace and slaughtered every single guard in there, too, and the thalmor and his escorts for good measure. I kicked the Jarl and his housecarl to the curb a few times, then left town, waited a bit, and came back. Guards were still all dead. Left again, did some other stuff, came back a few days later and new guards were there.
"Stop! You have committed crimes against skyrim and her people! What say you in your defense?"
"FUS RO Daoohh fine. I submit, cough cough, take me to jail."
I wasn't there long, but it was funny to see approximately 40k in fines go away when I escaped as part of a mass prison break, and somehow in all of it, they assumed that "all those murders" were committed by the foresworn - apparently even the guards I massacred in broad daylight with the entire population of Markarth looking on.
