[News] Face, meet Leopard.

"I didn't think he would quote MY post in the new thread!" -- Nick, probably.
Anyway, put your leopard-related posts here. Clouded leopard, snow leopard, black panther, whatever so long as it's chowing down on some yummy, surprised faces.

If a football team goes “fuck the run we’re going to win this with passing only” I’m not blaming the running back for the loss.

Doesn't matter. If the running back just quits he doesn't get to say "not my fault" if the other team wins.
With the facts laid out I think the running back gets to. Or at the very least you're a dumbass if you say that it was the running backs fault that the team lost.

You're the one who seems intent on absolving the running back of any blame.

That said, if I were to place blame, first would be Russian/Republican propaganda. Second would be a willfully ignorant and uninformed populace. Third would be Democratic leadership.

Pointing fingers at this point is…uh…pointless. Yes, I’m disappointed and feel that it was very much cutting off one’s nose to spite the face, but now all we can do is regroup and do our best to do something, even if it’s ineffectual and silly like a petition online. Something is better than nothing but fracturing amongst ourselves when we (probably) presumably want the same thing is counterproductive.

Love both you guys and I really dig your passion. I just don’t want animosity to split what should be a unified front.

Yeah because blaming the running back is idiotic. The idea that the left is responsible for Harris losing is a fucking stupid opinion. The left was saying that the Harris campaign strategy was a bad idea.

Disagree on pointing fingers being pointless. After a defeat this fucking catastrophic is when you need to get rid of things holding the party back. To just come together and say “we’ll get em next time champ” is what happened in 2016 and set up the current catastrophe. No now’s the perfect time for recriminations and deciding on who needs to get the fuck out of the drivers seat cause they’re driving off the cliff and their idiocy has been fully exposed.

Second I think you might be overestimating the importance of an argument about a sports metaphor as flawless as the sports metaphor is.

I mean how much content will there be for this thread before Trumps actually president?
The current posts are more like the "To Be Continued -->" while Yes' "Roundabout" plays--we all know what's about to happen, and we are documenting it here for when people start saying things like, "Who could've seen that coming?"

Today I learned that travesty did not mean what I thought. I thought it to be akin to disaster. A horror. Aka, facepalm nightmare.

I was incorrect in my usage of the word.

Cheers to you owl. I learned something today

Please allow me to rephrase my post:

We should not be infighting and arguing when we already know this situation is a nightmare. We should be banding together to say" I don't like this! This was not my choice." And then, we run because we are obviously outnumbered by the ignorant and the violent. We take on gorilla warfare when we have to but only if we have no choice. We try to speak reason, but we start calm and passive while we can.

... Gorilla warfare?
Are you referring to Planet of the Apes?
If not, you might want to look and learn something more today ;) :zoid:

Muslim voters in Michigan also had the Democrats put Bill fucking Clinton out there to tell them to fuck off and to remind them that they deserve it for Israel.

What a shit shit campaign.

No fucking wonder they didn't vote democrat in Michigan.

Parading that explicitly piece of shit dinosaur out is almost as bad as having Liz Cheney as your secret weapon.

Democrats running their campaign arrogantly with the "You have to vote for us because the other choice is bad" attitude didn't fucking work in 2016 and sure as shit didn't work in 2024. Maybe it will in 2028.
