Either the joke is the ridiculous complexity of that maze, or it's a play on the word "mais" (or "maiz" since you Americans are probably more familiar with the Spanish word than the french one)
Man, I zoomed out all the way and still couldn't tell what the hell you're talking about. Then stepped back around 6 feet and squinted my eyes, still don't see it.
Perhaps it's easier to see if you've spent a lot of time looking at the goates image?
I dunno. I was hoping it was funny because it was unsolvable, but it does have a solution, although I disapprove of the fact that it include several redundant paths.
