I once heard a girl describe how she enjoys listening to her boyfriend talk about his hobby, partly because he made it interesting for her and easy to follow, and partially because she thought he's really cute when he gets going about the stuff he's passionate about. Plus I've seen pictures of him, he really is quite handsome. So even though she personally had no interest in his hobby (it was something fairly esoteric, like Japanese chess or something like that), she quite liked it when he talked about it.Things that don't happen for $500, Alex
So, basically, if this guy could make it interesting enough, for example by talking about it like he's telling a story, and if this guy's hot enough, then I could see this scenario actually happening.
EDIT: I just did a bit of rudimentary Facebook stalking, yes it was Japanese chess aka Shogi, the two of them are married now, and apparently the guy actually wrote a book (in Chinese) called A Beginner's Guide to Shogi.
