I'd like to have a picture thread PURELY for gaming. It can be a MEME, a screenshot in a game anything you feel like sharing that may be intriguing for others.[DOUBLEPOST=1385258938,1385258818][/DOUBLEPOST]

Well duh... where do you think the HEARTS come from!?
I would really like another Baldur's Gate type game. I have never marathoned a game as much as I did with those two. I know I spent a couple of weekends just playing those games in the dark confines of my undergrad dwelling. Minsc and Boo!

Project Eternity will probably be like that, being made as a spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment. If not that, Wasteland is coming out too.

Do videos count? Because this one left me in stitches. Jim Sterling, high on painkillers after having his wisdom teeth removed, plays Bus Simulator 2012 in the oddest way possible.

Man, it used to be I couldn't stand Jim Sterling, and now he's one of my favorite people to listen to. How did this happen?
Same thing for me. He's talked about how a few exchanges with some people online showed him what kind of provoking troll he was being and he's worked on changing that part of him. It's definitely worked. He's basically one of the VERY few consumer advocates in the games press.

MAH SPACESHIP IN STAR CITIZEN!
The Constellation Class Multi-Function Freighter
The pride of any Rear Admiral, trader or pirate thanks to it's modular iconic design. Loaded with guns or freight, no one is disappointed when they're the proud owners of a Constellation.
It comes standard with not one, not two but four Behring M4A Laser cannons, 2 Behring Marksman HS Missle 8-Packs and 2 Klaus and Werner CF-227 Panther twin turrets. Enough to handle an entire wing of pirate raiders.
Mine has a (currently empty) fighter bay where a detachable escort can be flown by me, a friend or an AI hireling.
I can tell you right now, her name is The Vindicator.

Cockpit!
Empty fighter bay, you can see the bunks and bathroom in the back too.
Is Star Citizen going to be mainly multiplayer? Cause it looks cool, but if the single player experience isn't up to scratch, then I'll be sad. I mainly prefer single player games.

Star Citizen is the MMO component, Squadron 42 is the single player campaign that Chris Roberts is calling, "Basically the next Wing Commander".

Cutest moment in Bioshock 3 for me.

Goddammit I wish someone would get around to declaring that Game of the Year so they can package the GOTY edition with all the DLC already. I'm getting impatient.

GOTY isn't some official award given out every year. It's a marketing term that's thrown around by a dozen different magazines and other publications. When they want to put out a goty edition, they can find -anyone- to call it that and quote it on the box.
Hell, I think IGN will name anything you want GOTY for the right price.

I know. I just want someone to call it so they can release the fancy package, and then I can wait the six months until it's down to a reasonable price and actually play the damned thing.
Avoiding spoilers is becoming more and more difficult given my internet habits.
Every time I see that .GIF, I hear in my head the sound of a heavy body slamming into metal latticework. A bit like the sound of footfalls running along a gantry, but louder, and only once.

Yeah, when they did the late 2000s Tomb Raiders, the first thing I noticed was they removed the "snapping vertebrae" sound effect from the deadly dives into solid rock. Made me sad.
Never played Vampire at all...... and I bought a downloadable copy of Deus Ex from SOMEWHERE, several years before the Academy.... I have no idea where, though, so I don't think I can find it again.

You meant Rust, right? "Dust" is an entirely different game.

Am I to believe that's footage of an actual game? Like, entertainment software? Because it looks like the powerpoint slides from the most boring meeting I've ever attended.

Football manager I believe.

Jay
Yep.
I tried it in the past. Love the immersion in it.... problem? I'm not a football freak so when they are going into line details, I get lost, then I get un-interested.

Really, there is little so tedious and up its own arse as much as UK Soccer.

I was really fucking sick yesterday (hungover) and ended up watching a whole bunch of some IGN and other games press guys play Rust. They had a dude in their group who only spoke with a voice modulator like he was a robot. He'd freak out on people they didn't know if they were "cops" and would impersonate Clarence Boddicker from Robocop, murdering them outright or forcing them to fight for his amusement.

For fans of association football, Football Manager is crack.
My most played game on Steam is Football Manager 2013, at 611 hours.
For comparison, the next three games are Team Fortress 2 at 440 hours, New Vegas at 214, and Skyrim at 175.
Seriously, Football Manager is crack.

Today I changed my desktop background at work to this Skyrim screenshot I took recently. It more than adequately summarizes my feelings towards work these days, plus when I get annoyed with my job I can just go to my desktop and pretend I'm playing Skyrim.

Came across this crossover artwork today, which I thought was quite good.
