Halforums Civil War

I decided to start a new thread on this, because quite frankly I hope to trick more people into clicking on it, and grow this concept.

If you're confused at all, the Halforums Civil War is a series of Risk! games played via email client begun at Phil's prompting in November of Last Year. We just finished up the fourth game in the series, and are about to hopefully begin a fifth. Here is the wiki page for the Civil War in general.

Wiki pages for individual games:
First Battle of New York
Second Battle of New York
Battle for Planet Earth
First European Conflict [Coming Soon]
First East Asian Conflict [In Progress]

Questions and/or discussion for the series should go in this thread. If you are interested in joining the series, just post it in this thread, and perhaps we can add you to the invite list for game number five, which makes use of the Eastern Asia map on Warlight.net.

Also, if anyone would like to help me with the wiki, let me know. I have a few dozen screen-caps of previous games. I would like to gif-ify them if possible, or somehow represent the battles visually in other ways (a series of maps with various arrows: to give the gist of what happened during the game without flooding the synapses with the details of every last turn)

Finally, I have been told that making new maps for Warlight.net is not a terribly difficult thing to do. If someone would like to conspire to make new and interesting maps to play on, let me know. I have a general idea of how to divide up both St. John's (my current city) and Newfoundland (my home province) to make a decent Risk! map, but I realize that I might be the only one interested in playing on either of those.

EDIT: This was the previous Risk! Thread

We will fight you in the threads, we will fight you in the NSFW section, we will get Drifter to beat your scores in the Arcade.

YOU SHALL NEVER PREVAIL!

We will also lock all your threads so... you know, this is kind of one of those "battles that were over before they begun" but carry on...:sneaky:

Wow, that's a great pic of you, Dave! You look so young!

Oh, and I'm siding with the shark.

This ... is an idea.

And I had almost forgotten what the original point of this thread was until you just mentioned that.

Alright guys, is there anyone still interested in this? The current game in East Asia has come to a standstill, with only myself and Soliloquy still active (everyone else was either booted or surrendered) and I've been waiting for 40 days for him to take his turn.

Warlight has a few interesting new maps, including of Warsaw that looks pretty cool. There's a New York map on Warlight now, as well as Chicago. There's a pretty large map of Poland too.

What say you? Shall we continue this civil war?

I don't like warlight that much because you can only move one space at a time, and it's almost impossible to come back from a defeat in an area.
