Happy Groundhog Day everyone! As you are all aware, both Shubenacadie Sam and Wiarton Willie have NOT seen their shadows and as such we can expect an early spring!

I was in attendance when Sam made his prediction early this morning and it was a grand time had by all! Shortly thereafter Willie confirmed the prediction in Ontario.

For those of you not familiar with this noble meteorological tradition, on the 2nd of February each year, people in North America force large rodents out of their burrows if they see their shadow and run back in the burrow, the winter will last for at least 6 more weeks. If they do not see their shadow, early spring! The earliest prediction comes in from Shubenacadie Sam in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia, who lives in the Shubenacadie Wildlife Park. The next is followed by Wiarton Willie in Ontario and together they represent the finest weather predicting services known to mankind.

Now time for pancakes!

I shall celebrate tonight with one of my all time favorite comedies named exactly as the holiday.

Mostly used when talking about my girlfriend's family and their habits

I admit it, I "celebrate" this every year by setting my alarm clock to "I Got You Babe".

I might of suspected this line of reasoning from some of the troglodytes that populate the internet with their hate filled rhetoric and apologetic reasoning, but not from you Charles, never from you. How can you justify throwing your support behind such a hate filled exclusionary science denying religious group as Puxatawny Phil and his Inner Circle.

See their it is folks, the disgusting attitude of groundhog majorists! If you don't follow their groundhog you have no soul. Even though their groundhog flies in the face of all rational evidence and cannot hold up to the light of scientific examination, they still hold down the rest of the groundhog meteorologists with their "One nation under Puxsagohny" dogma. Disgusting and disturbing folks.

I'm not sure weather I want to ground my dogma in science or not.

I actually did that a few years ago, but the clock continued to work despit the exterior being all busted up. The alarm stopped working though.
