Pog and macros prepared. I'm ready to roll whenever. :)

You guys are gonna looooove my encounter and daily powers. :D

Nope, not yet.

Also, here's me copying Gusto:

Motivation
- Bastian's present task is to deliver two tomes to the new Temple of Allytyn in Cotone and to the temple's benefactor, Achard Pall.
- He is expecting to set out from Cotone to minister on the teachings of the temple after his deliveries are complete.
- In life as a whole, Bastian struggles to fully understand his faith. He is a devout follower of the temple's teachings but, like most followers of Allytyn, faces a conflict between the cold, distant nature of his faith with the emotional turmoil of being human.

Personality
- Quiet, but blunt when he speaks
- He is slow to anger, despite a history of trouble as a youth
- His faith is the center of his entire world view
- He both fears and appreciates change
- Patient, perhaps to a fault, as the “march of time” is central to the temple's teachings
- Somewhat distant, comfortable in his solitude
- Driven by a purpose to exact change through ministry.
- Non-judgmental

Likes
- reading
- prayer
- practicing his martial arts
- philosophy (though it is an interest only)
- he has acquired a taste for fresh and exotic fruits

Dislikes
- willful ignorance
- alcohol
- rich foods
- abuse of power/oppression of the poor or minority

I think my monk was the first character I did likes and dislikes for, and she disliked alcohol too. Loooved spicy food though. :)

ETA: This was definitely not worthy of 22,000th post. Oh well.

Was that the right file? It opened up VLC media player when I tried to unpack it. I am on a Mac, so I'm not sure what is in the .rar file.

Figured it out. I just needed a .rar extractor.

Hmm...I may need to load this on my work computer. I don't have my laptop dual-booting yet.

The .Rar? You'll need WinRar for that or WinZip (maybe). It's provides upwards to 25% better compression than Winzip. I believe Macs use UnRarX.

OK, I downloaded gametable from SourceForge and it can run on my Mac that way (no .exe to run). I transferred over your pogs from Jay's game and those work. I'm not sure what else I might need but it doesn't look like the two versions are completely compatible. Can anyone test it with me? I can always run Jay's version on my work laptop (which sucks hard) but if I can get this one to work it would be fantastic!

Looks like there is an issue with the underlays folder. When I put all the contents of that folder from Jay's version into the latest gametable version from SourceForge, the program doesn't load for me. Not sure which file it is but I might be able to narrow it down.

When I try to run Jays from the folder gusto provided it says "could not find the main class com/galactanet/gametable/gametableapp".

Any ideas?

Doesn't look like the SourceForge version is connecting. Could be my router or could be the two versions are incompatible. I did have to delete 3 underlay files from Jay's version and have numerous additional underlay files with the new version too. I've only copied over the pog folder and overlay and underlay files. There may be other discrepancies but it looks like Jay's version and the SourceForge version are not compatible.

Try it again, it is more likely an issue with my hosting settings. Gusto couldn't get in either, so I am testing out some options until Jay can walk me through this hosting part.

There doesn't seem to be a way to install anything from the rar gusto provided, unless I'm missing it entirely, so I'm assuming it can't find the gametable app because it was never installed. It simply opens to a folder titled "gametable solaria" then "game table RC8' the contents of which are seemingly what would be in the program folder once installed.

There is an .exe you can run, I think, though not on a Mac. There is a .jar file that runs as well, though the program crashes for me for whatever reason. The SourceForge version is only a .jar and does run on my machine.

By the way, the .rar probably unpacked a folder in your downloads folder (or wherever you put it) called GameTable Solaria, which has all of that stuff in it.

Yeah the .exe does nothing but open a dos screen for half a second and the jar opens a java window that is blank.

Hmm...I wonder if something is corrupted somewhere for us.
Added at: 18:24
There is definitely something corrupted in the underlays folder. I deleted all of the files and replaced them with the SourceForge version and it ran from the .jar Couldn't connect with it, though.
Added at: 18:27
Had the wrong IP though. Ha. Still not connecting with the right info.

Gametable is a java engine. Thus open the java file name Gametable.jar.

Once opened, connect to the IP given by HC and make sure your router doesn't block the port used.

Mention of any other files in the install is a waste of time. :)

Grrr, tried testing it with Rathkor and Gusto, going to close it for now and wait for Jay's superior instructions.

Also, go Habs.

Also, giant porcupine attack!

The jar only opens a blank java window like I said before.

Bah Downloaded it on another laptop and jay's works fine.

The copy of Gametable that we've been using is a special edition and thus any attempt in downloading the last "official" version off the website will give you nothing but tears with the lack of JPEG support. (we got a custom version)

Yeah, I gathered that. Your version won't run, unfortunately. However, I DID get it to run only after deleting some of those custom images. That tells me the build you are using is flaking out when loading one or more of those custom images. When I just put the PNGs in there, it will load up and run. Connecting seems to be a separate issue.

Pretty sure, rathkor thinks I'm nutters now. Was talking with him on vent, when "a giant porcupine viciously attacked" my wife.

Or for the vernacular of regular folks, "a porcupine came inside the garage trying to get at the garbage bins"
