Picked it because you said you liked sci-fi and it was from a variety of authors about all the different Doctors. Hope you enjoy it, I wanted it wrapped, but like I said, Amazon.fr was being a real pain to deal with. I really do enjoy trying to find something that people will enjoy.
I was in doubt between you and Hylian for being my SS
And I like it, I do! I've read a lot about Who, and I've seen lots of shorts/documentaries, and it's often discussed around here and on my facebook wall. I never got around to it, not because I think I won't like it or anything, but simply because of "too many things to do, too litle time to do them in" syndrome. Same reason I love RPGs, I love SciFi, and yet I haven't played any of the Mass Effect series. I'll get around to it, I say, and before you know it, 10 years have gone by and it isn't worth it anymore (in the case of ME, the Doctor keeps on going
).
I can't say I'll suddenly become a huge Who-nut, but it's definitely in the "something that could/would interest me" category, as well as the "something I wouldn't really go and buy for myself" category. Which are the most surprising, and often the best, gifts.
Compare-and-contrast to, say, a Doctor Who-themed bathrobe or refrigerator magnets. Those might be great if I already
was a fan, but not as an introduction. This is, at best, an introduction into A Whole New World (tm Disney), or, at worst, an interesting addition to my library and a glimpse into somethnig i'm not into but gave a shot. No matter what, it's at least good, if not great, as a gift, so I'm happy about it.
I'm not in a terribly great mood today, which may reflect negatively on my first post - but I assure you that has nothing to do with being given a lesser gift. Au contraire.
(the 50+minute waiting line in the Post Office? yeah, that might have something to do with it
)
