How many DVDs/Blu-Rays do you own?

I actually agree on that, the only reason I collect anime so obsessively is to have a legal copy and support an industry I enjoy, because unlike Hollywood, the American anime publishers do need fan support. at least thats what I believe.

I had a good VHS collection, and I bought a few DVDs. Maybe 10 at the most. And some of those were gifts. I got into netflix right out of the gate, and it seemed kind of like a waste of money to buy something. Especially since, like Jiarn says, I realized I never watched any of them anyway.

Also, wouldn't it be fairer to judge VHS by its endpoint, not it's beginning? More like how does it feel to be living in I don't know...2000? After all recording fidelity and read heads improved significantly over the years.

hmmm.. over 900 DVDs (that is titles i.e. Box set of Season one of Castle = 1 DVDs)
Blu-Rays? around 50+
Holy poop, lol, you must be knee-deep all up in that sheeit. Then again, I can't talk, seeing as I've got hundreds of books ... I dunno about 900, though.

I think I have like 2 VHS tapes ... Time Bandits and Jackie Chan's First Strike. I actually bought them for quarters at booksales for a lark (and to remind me of my youth *tears up*).

How's it feel to have spent all that money on digital and blu-ray when the format is going completely holographic and virtual reality?

Some of my VHS just aren't available on DVD or any other modern format. Hell, I'm still trying to get a Laserdisc copy of some movies just because the rights-holders are too tight-fisted to let us ever have a movie again. It's a damn shame that I can finally get a copy (DVD or Blu-Ray, even) of Night of the Creeps, but I still can't get Cold Blooded? Totally unfair, man.

How's it feel to have media directly injected into your brain?

And who says I spent money
