By the way, stealing and banking are now available.

Stealing:

You can attempt to steal from anyone you want. But you run the risk of getting caught and fined!

Steal percentage = 10% chance!
If successful, you take 10% of their HalBucks!
If unsuccessful, the judge will levy a 10% fine on you.

Banking:

Banks are FDIC insured, so they will protect you from stealing....to a point. Up to 3,500 HB in the bank is safe from theft. Over that and they just can't cover it. So if you deposit HB 4000 you can have the remaining 500 looted 25% at a time...

But the bank does pay some interest on your account. 1.75% compounded daily. Because we at Hal Bank care about our customers.

Tried stealing from Dave, epically failed. I now picture him with a Scrooge McDuck style silo full of HalBuck coins, locked away against any possible intruder.

Monthly lottery is set. Tickets cost 100 HB and you get to pick 6 numbers. Odds of winning and payouts are:

Match 1 - 0HB payout
Match 2 - 1 in 4.56 odds - 400HB payout
Match 3 - 1 in 22.21 - 2,000HB payout
Match 4 - 1 in 266.53 - 20,000HB payout
Match 5 - 1 in 9,328.51 - 500,000HB payout
Match 6 - 1 in 1,623,160 - 1,000,000HB payout

Payout is not based on how many tickets are sold. It is a static payout.


I'm working on a Daily lottery now.

Tickets are 10HB and you choose 3 numbers. Match all 3 and win 100,000HB. Chances you will? About 1 in 161,700.

And again it doesn't matter how many tickets are sold.

I changed the Steal Percentage to 10%. So if you get robbed you'll only lose 10%....for now.

There's a new item called "Join the Underworld". This will allow you to buy stuff that will help you steal from others and steal more!

Like the Knife in the Dark that intimidates people and gives you a 25% boost in steal chances!


Coming soon: Witness Protection. This will allow you to guard against the Underworld jerks and keep your hard-earned HalBucks safe and sound!

Thread viewing - 1 HB for each thread you view. So lurkers who are logged in or those who read and do not post often can still accrue HB.

Having thread viewed - If you make a thread and someone else views it, you get 1 HB. Yeah, there may be some spam issues with this, but you can always borrow some from FigmentPez, who is gonna bank the fuck outa this one!

But it makes sense if you wanted to keep it from becoming some run of the mill porn site. Besides, we wouldn't want some jackass parents suing Dave because their kid saw pictures of bewbs, and there was no age verification and/or security. This at least provides one barrier.

I've been thinking, and I believe the NSFW board should be a bit cheaper to get into (Maybe moderated, too, so everyone who gets in there is over 18 or they declared to be so).
Why am I saying this? Because, while 1500 is doable without much problem, while we're saving we can't spend on other cool things I feel like I want to spend on other things but I can't!
(Of course, some gameroom should raise money pretty quickly, so don't mind me)
