Didn't Jim die of heart failure, as well? Sounds like it's a bad, hereditary family condition.
You are correct. I think his son may have done it in the memorial episode right after Jim Henson died.

I deliberately left out any reference to the reasons it was allowed to progress until it was terminal. I couldn't think of a good way state it without conveying any sort of obvious bias.

Actually no, it was because he didn't want to bother going to the hospital, and had gotten a shitty diagnosis from a doctor. He hadn't practiced that Christian Science thing for almost 20 years.

Ah, you're right. Suppose even if you give up the practice doesn't mean it won't still influence your decisions down the line.
