GO FOR IT.

Favorite memory?

A meal you never get tired of?

Ideal job?

Ideal vacation spot?

#3

Gusto

Gusto

Hahaaa I knew you'd come around!
I didn't want to originally since I've always been pretty honest and open. Everyone is BITING MY STYLE.

Favorite memory?
My 18th birthday. My graduation prom was the day before my birthday, so at midnight, my friends hoisted me up on their shoulders and paraded me around the dancefloor while the DJ announced my birthday and my entire graduating class cheered for me. :D

A meal you never get tired of?
My mom's lasagna, made with tons of meat and tons of love.

Ideal job?
Webcartoonist, but all of my attempts to make that work so far have been in vain. I'll settle for still having time to oil paint and doodle when I'm all growed up.

Ideal vacation spot?
I want so bad to go back to Cuba, it was just lovely there. Of course there are also several people in the States I want to visit. I also have tentative plans to go to PAX next year.

Nope.

Super speed. ALWAYS. I would be the goddamn Flash.

I'm sorry little dude
I'm sorry that I straight up roasted your ding dong

Oh dogg on a hog we got much crispy Stellas out by the pool Ray
That golden action is so crunchy

[In reference to crispy Stellas] Make em tall and ice cold like yours truly

And one that I've been saving for an image macro flamewar:

Anyway, that's just Roast Beef, who is my favourite character, but there are a lot more where that came from.

Is Allen quiet enough for your tastes?

-Adam
Allen is still too quiet. If it were up to me we would talk all the time, just a like a couple knuckleheads from back in the day.

I know it's supposed to be Ask Me Anything, but for some reason all I see is Against Medical Advice.
...Yes.

How - if ever - do you trim your nipple curtains?
With a razor. But I've only done it once, before I went to Cuba and needed to clean up some unsightly chest hair.

Probably sloth in myself, but I hate it in others. Is hypocrisy a deadly sin? I like being laid back. This narrowly beats out gluttony.

If you could splice animal DNA into yourself in order to give your self special abilities (like night vision, enhanced strength, etc) would you?
Not really. I'm all man baby.

Would you like to eat your weight in coal everyday and sh*t diamonds?
Coal tastes disgusting, and I don't have the need for that much money. I'd maybe do this a couple of times, like once a month or so, but that's about it. I'd do it more often if it could stop diamond wars.

Mucho gusto or macho gusto?
Neither. With gusto.

Favorite way spend free time?
Fuckin' around on the computer playing vidja games or forumming, going out drinkin' with my homies, etc.

Steak and potatoes or chicken and rice?
Steak and potatoes. And rice. And maybe a little chicken.

She can quote all the Simpsons lines that I can't which admittedly are few. The two of us have literally recited entire episodes while watching DVDs.

She's a keeper. :)

Would you rather have a constant, mild sunburn or a nagging itch on the bottom of your foot that never never goes away?
Hmmmm. Can I choose sunburn knowing full well that I don't actually GET sunburnt?

Have you ever grown your hair long?
The longest my hair has ever been was maybe 2.5 inches and it drove me absolutely nuts.

If you ever wrote a book, what would it be about? Fiction or nonfiction? Comedy, mystery, fantasy, etc....
Either some sort of parody comedy, or a comedic non-fiction collection of my internet culture observations.

#42

Boring answer.

Here.

I like it here, it's where all my friends and family are, the climate's not that bad, and there're some decent restaurants and a thriving tech scene. Good amount of stuff to do. :)

I'm good. :)

I guess I would say that I'd like to live closr to uptown so as to be within a closer walking distance of pubs and restaurants and stuff. The only thing within walking distance of me is the grocery store where I work. There's also a nearby mall, sports bar, sushi restaurant and liquor store, but I can't reasonably walk to them year round.

Currently I can't really think of any standouts so I'm gonna go with Chaz's Scruffy.

But in the past Wildsoul had my favourite avatar ever. Wendy with the "bitch please".

Honorable mentions go to the animated Gandhi I found for Juice, Shego's Wandatars, Sera's Dr. Girlfriend, and Vytamindi's cartoon ladies that got me hot and bothered before I hit puberty.

I dunno what's for dinner! Usually my parents handle that kinda stuff, although I made dinner on Tuesday and helped on Monday. Chances are if we still don't know what to make for dinner by the time my Mom gets home, we'll end up ordering pizza. We do that about once a week.

Yes I AM playing DnD tonight. And I'm pretty excited. Not only are our objectives more clear now, but I'm going to gain some new rituals and (hopefully) a new cloak for my wizard. Also our cleric is returning so I won't have to worry about dying in combat anymore (quite so much).

And I'm excited to hear that you and the Fella are gonna be listening in! I love performing for an audience, especially with this character. People can say what they will about 4th Edition but this is easily the most roleplay-heavy game I've ever been in.

#83

You're Errik again? He was cool. ^_^ Do you think y'all are going to be able to bring that guy in the stone back to life??

#84

Honestly, I doubt it. His soul was bound in there and there's apparently no easy way to get it out, PLUS he has no body anymore.

Metagaming-wise, his player has left the game. Even if we could bring him back TONIGHT, it's not like he's gonna rejoin the party or anything.

#85

Cajungal

Cajungal

Aha, that's true.

Do any of the characters have a thing for each other?

Should I change my name or remain the mute halfling who sits and stares? :p

#86

Gusto

Gusto

You should ABSOLUTELY remain Excelsia. :D

Oh man, character relationships...

Errik is best friends with Kratash (now deceased), and respected colleagues with Serin and Grendmir. Grendmir and Kratash were decent enough friends who liked to take the occasional jabs at each other. Adia and Kratash were almost enemies, and have squabbled and almost FOUGHT on several occasions. Which is why it was kinda awesome when even she shed a tear for him. Serin and Adia are the two females and get along pretty well by that virtue alone. There ARE some budding romanticals between Errik and Adia, as first noticed/implied by Bez, Errik's impish familiar. They've never openly addressed these feelings and play it pretty close to the vest. And as best as I can tell, everyone gets along with Saryon okay, but hey, he's our healer, and has done at least SOMETHING to gain respect among is peers. Oh, and Saryon is the only person who believes that Adia may NOT actually be losing her mind.

:)

I think that about sums it up.

#87

Cajungal

*happy squeal* Budding romanticals! :D Lookin forward to tonight!

#108

How do you feel about avocados?
I've had guacamole once, and avocado in my sushi a bunch of times. I like 'em okay I suppose!

You find a paper bag on a street corner. It contains hundred dollar bills and a note that says "Take only what you need." What do you do?
Take the bag, take 5-6 bills, then leave the bag in a better part of town where the average person is less likely to blow it on crack or hookers.

Has a movie ever made you well up?
I'm certain some have before, but I'm drawing blanks right now... I'm not trying to be an Internet Tough Guy or anything, I just can't remember any off hand.

Have you seen Shrek 2 and 3? How do you feel about the sequels?
Haven't seen 'em, sorry. The first movie had it's moments and I enjoyed it overall, but Fiona ultimately being an ogre left me kinda... disappointed. Why was it necessary for her to be "ugly" as well in order to be in a relationship with Shrek? Seems like a wasted opportunity but then I feel that way about a ton of Disney flicks.

If you had to write a book about someone (not you), who would you write a book about?
I would write a book about Kris Straub, which would inevitably turn into a tragedy about Scott Kurtz.

What comic book character are you most like?
I'm somewhere between the Flash and Captain Marvel. :)

I dunno what I want for Christmas! I could give a list of a shitload of TV season DVDs I want, and I need new headphones for my iPod, but that's just about it so far.

And I don't know a whole lot about comics or anything, but I'm referring to your basic Billy Batson smilin' Captain Marvel that was on JL:U.

I kind of have that do-gooder attitude that a naive innocent kid might have. Wanting so much to be like Superman and thinking that the world is black and white.

That and the Flash. :)

There are no vegetables that I absolutely can't stand, but I'm not a huge fan of cauliflower or peas. Does cilantro count as a vegetable? I don't like cilantro.

PC Gaming.

The current gen of consoles came up and I couldn't afford them, but I NEEDED a new computer. So I spent $1200CAD putting one together last May and immediately got Steam. I spent the next few months playing all the awesome games that had come out between 2005 and 2008 that my computer couldn't run.

I took a ride on a steam train during a tour of Colonial Remedios when I was in Cuba this past summer!

^^ Understandable answer, I don't play my Wii as much as I should but I rarely game these days as is.

Have you ever ridden on a subway/underground?
I do every time I'm in/around Toronto. :) It's kinda fun!

Mostly because my traveling companion wanted to go to Cuba specifically, but also because I heard that they love Canadians, are very polite, are relatively inexpensive (especially versus the two that you posited) and the tours are cool. :)

I have 3 albums worth of pictures on my Facebook account (linked in my signature).

At home. My girl loved when I made her chicken tikka masala and it was inexpensive and romantical.

She and I both love the romanticals. :)

Do you support fixed election dates for federal elections?

Do you favour our current first past the post model of election or would you rather have a form of proportional representation?

Should advertisements from peoples and corporations be allowed to promote the message of political parties, circumventing electioneering laws?

Yes.
The latter.
No.

If you could switch roles with anyone in the entire world for one day, who would it be?
You would literally be him/her but also have all your own thoughts and memories and free will.
Hmmm... Having no specific person in mind, but having several criteria I would like to experience for learning reasons, I'd say Daniel Corsetto. That way I'd be able to experience being a girl for a while to see what that's all about, and also what it's like to be a successful webcartoonist. :)

Do you have any weird, irrational fears that you can't explain?

Do you like standup comedy? If so who are your favorite comedians?

What's the ugliest thing you've ever worn?

Have you ever broken a limb? (did I ask you that already?....)

What's your favorite thing about your little brother?

What's your favorite thing about your parents?

A good friend has played a prank on you... all-in-fun, not humiliating, but still, they got you GOOD. How do you retaliate, if at all?

Do Canadian jokes bother you?

You HAVE to be in a band. Do you decide to play drums, keyboard, guitar, bass, or do vocals?

If you could be any fantasy race (like an elf or a halfling, etc...) which would you be and why?

Have you ever gotten into a real fight? If so, why? If not, is there any situation where you can see yourself fighting with someone, besides a life-threatening situation?

#165

Do you have any weird, irrational fears that you can't explain?
Not really, unless you count spiders, which are easily squashed. Guuuhhh, now I'm thinking about spiders...

Everything else is totally rational and will destroy me if given the chance.

Do you like standup comedy? If so who are your favorite comedians?
I do, but not enough that I can really name any comedians who I may have enjoyed. :eek:hwell:

What's the ugliest thing you've ever worn?
One time I wore a really tight maroon shirt with really baggy bright red pants, but it was for a play or something.

Have you ever broken a limb? (did I ask you that already?....)
Sure haven't! I'm not a break guy, more of an irreparable scar guy.

What's your favorite thing about your little brother?
I like that he's finally grown up a bit? I guess. He's not as much of an asshole as he was 6 years ago, although he's still a bit of an asshole. I dunno, seems like he's being more helpful and whatnot now.

I really can't think of anything really nice to say.

What's your favorite thing about your parents?
They're hip! Which is sometimes good and sometimes bad, but they're pretty easy to talk to and they get along with my friends and girlfriend pretty well.

A good friend has played a prank on you... all-in-fun, not humiliating, but still, they got you GOOD. How do you retaliate, if at all?
I wouldn't retaliate, and I'd just kinda absorb it. I'd maybe try to see the merits of it, but deep down I'd probably be kinda hurt.

Do Canadian jokes bother you?
Haha, no. We Canadians are well known for our graciousness. :)

You HAVE to be in a band. Do you decide to play drums, keyboard, guitar, bass, or do vocals?
SING BITCH I LIKE TO SING

If you could be any fantasy race (like an elf or a halfling, etc...) which would you be and why?
Halfling. Strong sense of community, love of good food and entertainment, inability to grow facial hair.

Yeah, I think we'd get along great.

Have you ever gotten into a real fight? If so, why? If not, is there any situation where you can see yourself fighting with someone, besides a life-threatening situation?
Yeah I've been in several fights with kids in grade school who figured they'd be the tough guy and pick a fight with the little scrawny nerd.

They were WRONG. :smug:

- A&W Mozza Burgers. They're so damn good that I could eat them for a month. Although at the end of that month I'd have terrible acne and probably be overweight.

And.. will there be an xmas party in the Halforums house?
I have stopped updating the Halforum House, mostly because the neighbourhood progresses in real-time and I wanted to play something else. Plus all the updates were starting to be the same.

I'm contemplating doing an epilogue update at some point, since Sims act with more autonomy if you aren't paying attention to their household. It might be nice to see where some people ended up. Since I've stopped playing them, I've noticed that Dave has become an Elder, Gusto and Droll have moved out together and are likely engaged, and Qonas picked a fight with a Chinese tourist who turned out to be an orange belt in Sim Fu. :D

- Go for a walk, but only if my shoes are in good repair. By the time I got home yesterday my socks were a little soaked.

- Swimming, but only marginally. As long as the weather is optimal I'd be willing to do any of these.

NECROOOOOOOO'D for great Christmas justice!
OH FUCK I TOTALLY FORGOT TO ANSWER THEEEEEEEESE

Favorite Christmas food?
The cookies my elderly neighbour makes and brings over to thank us for shoveling her driveway all winter. They are delicious and crispy and I like dipping them in leftover cranberry sauce.

Favorite Christmas song?
You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch.

Favorite Christmas memory?
My parents gave me a Playstation One back in 7th grade by removing and wrapping one of the memory cards and giving it to me last. Turns out the rest of the package was under my bed and had been there for a couple weeks. My parents are the most creative wrappers ever, and you should never take any package size/shape/heft for granted when receiver something from them. This year I got a new comforter for my bed in an envelope.

What do you want most for Christmas?
New speakers for my computer (and I got them from my brother :D).

What are you getting your lady friend?
I got her an AeroGarden to bring some light/life/food to her winter dormitory accommodations.

What goes on top of your christmas tree? Do you have a favorite ornament?
We put and angel up there or this weird post-modern star that my mom likes and I don't. My favourite ornament is a depiction of the three wise men in pewter.

Do you have a favorite Christmas movie/story?
My favourite classic Christmas special is How The Grinch Stole Christmas. My favourite "modern" Christmas special is Hey Arnold!'s special. Every year I watch Home Alone 1 and 2, and this year I started the Die-Hard-as-a-Christmas-movie tradition too. :)

Do you have any dorky Christmas sweaters?
No ma'am I do not.

My New Year's Eve was most excellent. The Lady and I went to a friend's house party where we drank our fill and played some kinda weird but hilarious drinking game which at one point had me topless. Then we walked 45 minutes back to her place (yikes) and warmed ourselves up the fun way. ;)

In 2010 I hope to get back to drawing and/or painting. I haven't touched anything in like 6 months and simply having old works of mine around is guilt tripping me. Specifically I hope to finish 1-2 more oil paintings and draw some comic type things either for my own benefit or for LitToS.

#256

So, Gusto, what's the worst and the best thing you've done?
I already answered this question, although I answered it wrong...

The worst thing I've ever done is squander years of my life and thousands of dollars paying for college that I basically screwed around with.

The best thing I've ever done is grab two girls and throw them out of a bus shelter as a van was careening out of control down a frozen hill road and completely demolished the bus stop and the nearby lamppost. It was pretty crazy.

So Gusto, what are your thoughts on Canadian involvement in Southern Afghanistan?
This is gonna seem ignorant, but I have no idea. I honestly haven't kept up to date on any of the Afghanistan goings-on. I have a standard position of "support the troops, not the war" but recently a friend of mine, an engineering graduate, has enlisted for basic and since become an officer in charge of a small team of engineers. I've heard some cool stories from training but I haven't heard much about him being deployed or anything.

I suppose if that happens, I'll start paying more attention and probably form an actual opinion. Sorry. :eek:hwell:

Anywho...

Gustito: How do you see yourself in 3 years? ...in 10??

What do you prefer: asking for permission or for forgiveness?

Gusto, you should do a Dare me anything. NEW FORUM MEME!

to keep this an AMA (for now) my question to you is why aren't you doing a dare me anything?

also, what is your favorite pet?
I'm not doing a DMA because I would never be able to keep up with you people and your demands.

I'm not a pet person, really. I'm allergic to basically anything with fur, and even if that were to be cured RIGHT NOW, I'm long past the age where I have an interest in pet ownership.

Who's on your top ten list of dream women?
Are you talking celebrities, or at least people well-known enough that forumites would recognize them? If I were to list Dream Women without these qualifiers, I think a lot of them would be completely lost on you, unless you wen't to my high school or at least grew up in my city. ;)

I was just gonna go unlock it for you, but it looks like someone already did. :eek:hwell:

In three years I'll have graduated and be working probably in Accounting or AP at City Hall of Kitchener. I'll hopefully have moved out of my parents' house by then, maybe even with a special lady. A man can dream right?

And I prefer asking permission... moooooost of the time. ;)

So do whatever list you want, Gusto. It's your dream. If you need to explain who they are, do so.

Very well.

In no particular order:

Michelle Trachtenberg
Rachelle Dubeau
Alyson Hannigan
Alexa DiCresce
Mila Kunis
Jordan Capri
Kristen Bell
Laura Melcher
Aria Giovanni
Justine Joli

A mix of personal acquaintances, celebrities, and pornstars. :)

KEVINISSIMO!

Write a brief synopsis for a movie starring you, Juski, Bumble, and Allen.

Also, what's the most complicated dish you'd like to try and cook?

-If you had a chance to make any inanimate object sentient, what would you choose and why? (In the spirit of our BatB viewing last week)
A dusting cloth. Dusting is the worst chore ever and I want it to happen autonomously.

-What is a topic besides the forum and other forumites that you'd like me to write a song about?
There's actually a country/blues song I have in mind for you to try, but I don't know if it's even possible to recreate on ukulele alone...

-Say that you were the host of a variety show, and you want to make the first episode amazing enough to get millions and millions of people hooked. What entertainers would you line up for your show?
I have no idea! I'd much rather be an entertainer than a host. :p

-Word association:

Banana
Hammock.

Muffins.

Shoestring
Pasta.

Bleach.

Mushrooms!

Ice cream.

Bronze.

Wings.

TUBES!

Missile. (Don't ask)

EGM.

Crafters.

Bender.

Relaxation
Deck.

Smoke.

Well now I gotta.[/QUOTE]

I don't remember what led up to it, but it's an inside joke so convoluted that I don't even remember all of it. For some reason in high school, a friend of mine and I thought the mental image of two battlesips firing missles at each other and accidentally spearing a dolphin as it happily jumps out of the sea hilarious.

Of course I was also a Family Guy fan at the time, and that kind of senselessness (especially the violence) doesn't really appeal to me anymore.

I love timing jokes like that. My brother would love that, too.

KEVINISSIMO!

Write a brief synopsis for a movie starring you, Juski, Bumble, and Allen.
Your basic college roadtrip movie, except our heroes are desperately trying to pass their classes, party, get laid, and hide the truth about the horrible accidental murder of CynicismKills.

Juski as the raging party-aholic.
Bumble as the loveable artistic ladies-man.
Allen as the socially-awkward nerd.
Gusto as the voice of reason who comes to terms with the decisions tat brought him to this point.

Morphine, Espy and Calleja as the hilariously inneffectual police duo/sexy female dispatcher.

Also, what's the most complicated dish you'd like to try and cook?
I'd love to be able to make some fantastic calamari with a garlic aeoli, that shit is delicious and I'd like to learn how to make it for myself.

Dear Gusto,
Is there a request for a painting that you would refuse to do for any amount of money? Example: The Birth of Venus, except instead of Venus it was Dave, and instead of flowing hair it was flapping hooties.

I think given a proper amount of money I could be convinced to paint anything as long as it wasn't completely opposite my personal beliefs or made me physically ill.

Allen who is Quiet

Allen, who is Quiet

Allen as the socially-awkward nerd.
:(

How did you know?
