Need a catchy saying to get my kids to share...

So I'm considering taking a hacksaw to one of my kid's DS game cartridges and giving them each half since they apparently don't know how to share, and it's come to a point where I don't believe simply forcing the recalcitrant holder of the cartridge (he doesn't own it, it belongs to all) to share is going to fundamentally change their attitude on sharing.

Now I'm thinking about spending a whole evening and making a project out of it. Mount each half onto a nice stained wood wall mount, and putting a pithy saying below that suggests if they shared they'd have a game that still worked, rather than two halves they can forever share, but can't actually use.

I'm hoping you funny folks can do better than my bland "If you choose not the share, you might not get a choice" for the quote that I would put on the board. "I hope you're better at sharing your friends than your video games" seems a bit macabre. The two involved are 12 and 10 year old boys, in case that helps you think about phrasing that might actually appeal to their better selves. Of course it'll also significantly affect the 6 year old who spends a great deal of time playing video games, but them's the breaks.

Also I need your opinion on whether I should leave room on the plaques to hold more video games, or even a game system.

Lastly, I'm not very artistic, so if you have any thoughts on the design or layout of the plaque they'd be appreciated. At the moment I'm just thinking of making one plaque, then cutting it apart in a jagged pattern to show there's another half that fits it, and mounting the game so when they're brought together the game appears whole.

Any other thoughts are welcome!

Also, inb4 "... example of horrible parenting."

If you choose not to share, two halves make it fair.

Please be aware, you're best off if you share.

If you don't share now, this solution you vow.

Take turns, selfishness burns.

Okay, those are getting silly...

I can't think of anything right off the bat, but I just wanted to come in and say that this is a great idea.

Do you want them to understand it's better to be kind?

"Don't be greedy lest you become needy"

Or do you want to instill fear?

"Share or beware"

Or just assert your authoritah?

"It's not yours, it's MINE"

What's the game? That could influence my quote.

Also, I think you should make 3 separate plaques. Do one, then explain that you have the other two "...just in case."

"Fuckin' share or I'll shank you, bitch!"

That's how all parents raise their children, right?

I was gonna suggest something from the Bible regarding Solomon's Solution, but Seej already beat me to the punch in the comparison! *grins*

"Share it or I break it, then hit you."

It's a child, not an adult... don't reason with it, don't ask it, don't debate with it... tell it.

"If you can't share,
then I don't care.
I'll grab a handful of both your hair.
And if you don't share what you got,
I'll bop your heads together a lot!"

Add your own jingle music.

"If you don't share, your mother and I are getting a divorce.
PS: It'll be your fault."

How about a label at the top of the plaque "Child#1/2s Half" with a bottom label "Child #2/1 would not share. ~ Child 1/2" that way they each see that the other is blaming them for the same situation of not sharing.
